My guest this week is Amachree Isoboye a HR generalist, an author and a creative writer. On this episode he shares with us the importance of using our words correctly. How negative words can produce death and just as positive words produces life. Having gone through a near death experience Amachree talks us through how the words we speak create life even in the mist of pain.

On this week’s episode my guest Lota Eze shares her reality as a Sickle Cell Warrior. She talks about how regardless of various crisis episodes she is determined to succeed in anything she sets her mind to do. The shares her life journey through school and work life and you will agree with me once you hear her story that she is one determined lady.

My guest this week, Miriam Kay is an Entrepreneur, Business/life coach, Motivational speaker and a Sickle cell warrior. She is all the founder of Dora foundation, a non-profit organisation she started for sickle cell support and youth development. On this week’s episode she shares her story with us on her she has overcome the different challenges to get to where she is today whilst battling with Sickle cell.

My guest this week Oby Davies is a multidimensional woman, an encourager and an equipper. She believes strongly that everyone is a piece of a puzzle and we all must keep moving till we find our position and complete the big picture. She is a blessed mother of 2 "son-shines." One of whom is an 11 year old Sickle Cell Warrior whose condition inspired her to create the Red bell Organization A hub for creating awareness about Sickle Cell and other invisible disabilities.She is passionate about helping people be better and do better - particularly women and children. On this episode Oby pours out heart as she talks about the realities of raising a sickle warrior. She shares some importance tips on how to balance various relationships including relationships with managers and colleagues at work, friends, family members and neighbours to ensure that you get full support especially for days when you have to drop everything to attend to the warrior in your in life.

My guest this week is Sickle Cell Survivor, and the founder of Flourishing she Sickle Cell. She shares with her story and how it is possible to flourish with Sickle Cell.

When it comes to Sickle cell, ignorance is not bliss. On this episode I am joined by Funmi Eko, a Communications Coach and Content Developer who is also a Sickle cell advocate. She shares her realities of living with Sickle Cell. Without no prior knowledge of Sickle cell, she found herself as a mother of Sickle cell warrior and was faced with the choice of whether to sink or swim. She shares with listeners the extent to which she goes to get the information as she encourages parents of Sickle cell warriors not to give up

It is often said that if the use of something is unknown, abuse is inevitable. In the same vein I believe if a situation is not understood abuse of the situation or the people involved is inevitable. As a result on this very first episode, I talk about the facts and myths surrounding sickle cell anaemia, giving a little insight to what a sickle crisis feels like. In addition I also share the lesson I have learnt from the oldest sickle cell patient. My desire is that this podcast will not only encourage sickle cell warriors and the their loved ones but also challenge anyone else who feels limited due to circumstances beyond their control not to give up.
