Awful terminology aside, it was a comfortable win and a much more impressive performance from Southgate's side, and one that Simon, Josh & Matt were more than happy to discuss the day after. The World Cup in Qatar is a troubling one for fans around the world, and an awkward thing to handle for the players, managers and coaches alike. And so, it wasn't quite meant to be. For the first time ever in a European Championships, England got off to a winning start with another 1-0 win against Croatia! Once a couple of hangovers were sufficiently overcome, Simon, Ben, Josh and James went over what was a pain-free afternoon at Wembley in the end before looking towards Friday and the battle of Britain tie against Scotland with a fair deal of excitement.
