The Long War - Codex Chaos Space Marines, 4th edition

There's some very cool colour schemes in this part of the codex, you should look them up. Like my readings of GW literature? Why not do me a favour and post on the Black Library Facebook page and tell them you want me to narrate one of their audiobooks? That would make my week to be honest. If you've enjoyed listening to Oldex, I'd really appreciate it if you would leave a review on iTunes, Spotify, or wherever you found this to help spread the word: iTunes: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/oldex/id1574187584 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/1aehYQH8DpHRlWNbRufQTN?si=8b69327427704038 Thank you to Gav Thorpe and Alessio Cavatore for writing the fiction I grew up with. I don't know why I read everything, but I did. I'm exhausted at the moment, my brain wasn't even thinking about what to exorcise or edit, it just saw words and verbalised them. Hive Fleet Leviathan - Codex Tyranids, 4th edition

1/22/2024
The current stars of the 40K show make their earlier mark here, a great set of jaws swallowing the galaxy from beneath. Interesting to note that so much of the current storyline is being pulled from this far back, with heavy emphasis being placed on the Octavius sector here as well. It was the setting at the launch of the most recent edition of Kill Team and a major one in ninth edition 40K, with it's own secondary objective: retrieve octavius data. Structure and Analysis - Codex Tyranids, 4th edition

1/15/2024
Once more duty calls me to try and narrate a graphic as spoken word. I apologise in advance - I tried my best to make it at least somewhat understandable while not altering it beyond what isn't in the original codex. Like my readings of GW literature? Why not do me a favour and post on the Black Library Facebook page and tell them you want me to narrate one of their audiobooks? That would make my week to be honest. The Great Devourer - Codex Tyranids 4th edtion pages 4 and 5

12/8/2023
The Ultramarines are mostly Roman-themed (from modern-day Italy) and Chaplain Ortan Cassius has a mostly knackered face, so that's where I was going with that voice. Interesting they're bringing the norn queens more heavily into the lore these days, but not...the dominatrixes 🤔 Like my readings of GW literature? Repeat Viewing - An Oldex Halloween Special

10/17/2023
Greetings, listeners. A key component of the Warhammer 40,000 universe, and indeed the grimdark genre it spawned, is horror. As a massive fan of Warhammer 40,000 (obviously) and the horror genre, and given that it's Halloween, I couldn't resist spinning a scary story myself. So often the focus of horror in 40K fiction is, justifiably, the Warp and its spawn. Part of this story comes from a desire to add a little weight to another end of the balance. A large part of the inspiration for this story came from the song Virtuous Tragedy by the brilliant musician Aram Zero. I love their music and this is my favourite. As I sat in front of Google Docs, I put this song on repeat and let its power overwhelm me. It's this overwhelming power, a sense of something awe-inspiring yet terrifying, which dictated what I typed. I reached out to Aram and they very kindly have allowed me to use their track in this Halloween special. I'm grateful Aram let this episode to come full circle and include the very music that inspired it. You can find Aram Zero's YouTube channel here, and from there, their other links: www.youtube.com/@AramZero I very much hope you enjoy this scary special and wish you a very happy Halloween. Like my readings of GW literature? Why not do me a favour and post on the Black Library Facebook page and tell them you want me to narrate one of their audiobooks?
