With primary songwriter and Meepster Frank "3-Gun" Novenic joining Terror full time (and eventually Hatebreed), his time he could dedicate to Ringworm was thin and that led guitarist Matt Sorg to step up and take the reins, which he has white knuckled ever since and led Ringworm to previously unthrashed territories but it all starts here. Vocalist Human Furnace and Matt talk about this transitional album, recruiting CJ Klemonski from Death Threat to help finish the job, making their first music video, Jacob Bannon's stunning album artwork, Ben Schigel from Sw1tched recording this effort, and so much more! Now THAT'S a spicy MEEPBALL! Madball's 5th album, Legacy, was released domestically in tha U.S. under THA GUN aka Ferret and internationally on tha Bird - Roadrunner. Madball broke up... for a year and then they got back together! With the core members of vocalist Fred and bassist Hoya, they were joined by ex-Hatebreed drummer Rigg Ross and Skarhead alumni MITTS on guitar. B"M"D joins us to discuss tha first full length Madball album he was a part of, fresh off tha heels of his involvement in hardcore supergroup Rag Men with fellow Meepsters Bulldog from Earth Crisis and Jorge from ill Nino/Merauder/almost Sepultura. MEEPICATED. This episode tackles tha self-titled debut and farewell of midwest monsters, downthesun. This band has so many Slipknot ties and that pun writes itself but they didn't wear tha masks - you saw and heard exactly how ugly they were. Vocalist Aaron Peltz (no face tattoos) tells us about how they were signed, working with Mega Meepster producer GGGarth Richardson, touring with Slayer, and imploding almost immediately. Gross! Each Meep Haunted. The [Bruce] Banner from New Jersey were an interesting entry in tha world of metalcore in 2005. A punk rock aesthetic with a spooktacular subject matter wrapped up in breakdowns and mosh madness. In this episode, singer Joey Southside takes us through the early beginnings of tha band, unlikely inspirations for their songs spanning from Batman video games to Outbreak, an argument about whether or not he wore eyeliner or not (he did), and bonds their scene formed internally with themselves and externally with multi-platinum partners My Chemical Romance. All this and nothing else on Episode 100.

CAN'T MEEP NOW Before Rob Caggiano was a super producer of bands like Cradle of Filth and 36 Crazyfists and even before riffin' and rockin' guitars as a member of Anthrax or Volbeat, Rob Caggiano was in the band BOILER ROOM who were signed to Roadrunner for an album to be released in 2000. Their single "Do It Again" appeared on the RR compilation MTV'S RETURN OF THE ROCK but despite completing the record, the Big Bird did not actually officially release it but Tommy Boy Records did, and the band dispersed shortly after. In this 100th episode we talk all about the Boiler Room album but also some bonus Meeping with Rob's first production for Roadrunner, Dry Kill Logic's 2001 release "The Darker Side of Nonsense." Sick.

Tha Meep Kings. New Jersey's Step Kings epitomized a DIY ethic coming up through hard work and grinding which eventually landed them a record with Roadrunner produced by Machine and tours with everyone from Slipknot to international shows with Papa Roach. Bassist Bob McLynn is now a titan in the music industry with Crush Management while guitarist Fern is still a passionate musician who takes us through his journey of moving across the country to fulfill his dreams of rockin' complete with stories about collaborating with ill Nino, Jorge from Merauder designing their logo, Insane Clown Posse not appreciating their antics, and so much more on episode... One Hundred.

Send us a Text Message. MEEPER SEEDS. Too Easy. Sometimes albums are made for Roadrunner... and not released? HUH?! WHAT'S THAT MEAN?! In the mid 2000s the label was going through a boom and signing lots of bands since Roadrunner had recently been caught by the coyote that was Island Def Jam essentially making the bird a major label with that major label money and a huge mainstream hit with Nickelback. In 2003, Ether Seeds, was set to release their self titled debut album on Roadrunner Records. The Seeds were a band fronted by Dustin Lowery who was then and still is now brothers to Clint Lowery of Sevendust fame and Corey Lowery who is currently in Seether but did time in Stuck Mojo, Stereomud and others. The band were signed to the label, recorded the album, and weeks before it was set to release... were dropped! And the album never came out. They weren't the only band on Roadrunner or in the music industry to suffer that fate by any means but certainly one of the more head scratching with not only a strong pedigree but a great record behind it!
