The fastest way up to the top of Mount Toubkal is a two day route. The two day route is a “simple up and down via the same trail from Imlil”. On the first day, you travel to Imlil). Once in Imlil, you take a four hour walk up the mountain to the refuge, and spend the night either in a tent or dorm. On the second day, you walk from the refuge to the summit. After spending time at the summit, you trek back down the mountain, all the way back to Imlil. There are many different routes you can take to get to the top of Mount Toubkal - this is just one example. December 17, 2018 Imlil, Morocco It’s early in the morning; two French hikers are on a “small hike” when they come “up on a plateau” about an hour into the hike. The hikers discover the bodies of Louisa and Maren on Mount Toubkal, around six miles from the center of Imlil. That’s when they saw an open tent, and two “broken” girls outside of the tent.
