This week I spoke with Dr Frank Brennan from Calvary Hospital in Sydney, Australia. What an incredible person. What an incredible conversation. We spoke about how his passion for Palliative Care stemmed from his Brother passing away at a young age. We spoke about his time in South Africa. In this episode of Doctors Getting Coffee, I had the great pleasure of catching up with an old teacher of mine - Professor David Morris. He is the Head of Liver Surgery and Peritonectomy at St George Hospital. We talked about his beginnings in England and the troubles he had with his family because of his love of medicine. We go on to talk about his arrival to Australia and his pioneering of the Peritonectomy Procedure in Australia. We talk about one of the drugs he developed called BromAc which is in phase 2 trials for COVID. All in all, it was a wonderful talk that I wished could have gone for longer.
