The 21° Capricorn Full Moon glows bright on Tuesday, July 13, at 11:37am PDT/2:37pm EDT/6:37pm GMT, as the closest super moon of the year, known as the Grandmother’s Moon, and it’s bringing attention to outdated patterns of thinking as it opposes the sensitivity of sentimental Mercury in Cancer. Your wisdom is within. The Sun in Cancer is reflecting what you’re feeling with a discerning awareness of what you need with the Capricorn Moon in the Virgo portion of its sign, offering earthy, practical intelligence to live your life skillfully in a universe of infinite potential. You don’t need to look to others for security or approval, you can nurture what matters to you through your own focus and attention. You may be sharing what you’ve been up to in the past two weeks as the Moon waxes to fullness with the light of what you’ve been creating in new forms for relationships, business, and all inspired endeavors. As you may know, I’m a Cancerian, with Cancer rising, and Libra Moon that’s in my 4th house, which is Cancer’s house of the home, soul and family. Facilitating growth and healing is my most satisfying and compelling work. With my new solar return coming just before my birthday next Tuesday, I’m reflecting on the past year and defining how I can best share my intuitive understanding of your emotional, physical and spiritual needs for our mutual liberation. I’m not ending this podcast, but I will likely change hosts again and probably start another one just for meditations. The intensity of the total Scorpio Lunar Eclipse awakened a new phase of change. Scorpio is the sign of transformation and represents what you’re letting go of. Pluto, Scorpio’s ruler, brought out the cruel expressions of how energy can be released. As ruler of the shadow world, Pluto is unrelenting as it brings harsh truth to light for change and evolutionary growth. Beyond the limitations of judgment, beyond the obsessive mental looping of fearful thoughts, beyond self-identification and perceptions of separation that unite us, the outdated ways unwind, as you let go of any illusion of control and know you are free exactly as you are now. After an emotionally complex weekend, the Moon invigorates as it enters bountiful Jupiter ruled Sagittarius early Monday at 4:50am PDT/7:50am EDT/11:50am GMT, and immediately trines Jupiter in Aries and opposes Mercury retro in Gemini. This is still the Full Moon phase until the Moon enters the Disseminating phase, when it’s midway through Capricorn, on Thursday, May 19. The Moon enters Libra late Wednesday at 11:24pm PDT/2:24am EDT/6:24am GMT and helps to find balance with the communication challenges of Mercury retro and Jupiter forging on. I put the microdisk to my set up in a way that didn't lock into the slot, but went into the cavity of the case. So I recorded with an inferior microphone that picks up all the sound. Security is important as the Moon enters its own sign in the nurturing waters of Cancer, late Wednesday. With the Sun in Taurus enhancing your overall sensory experiences, the Moon in sensitive Cancer deepens your emotional experience. A life is best lived is with your full attention. If you shut yourself down, as Cancer can do to self-protect avoid vulnerability, you don’t have as much opportunity to ride the waves of the fullness of life. Moon in Cancer nurtures with its powerfully caring heart. And with the Moon in Cancer you can benefit from liberating your heart by moving through emotional pain or attachments that no longer serves a purpose. This is a time to unlock yourself from old stagnant energy. Like Taurus, Cancer loves the home and all the comforts of life. Yet, in these times, security is in doing something different. The energy is a bit jumpy with Venus in Aries turning up the passionate heat, and the Moon in Cancer isn’t sure whether it wants to join or not as it squares Venus late Wednesday. The Sun in Taurus moves up to perfect its conjunction with Uranus on Thursday, and adds to the pull to create more freedom. Any change to your routine will feel refreshing. Uranus in Taurus is the rule-breaker of established values as it strives for impenetrable systems of wealth. Other planetary factors are pushing for changes in how we navigate the rules. Saturn in Aquarius has moved away from a close 90° square it formed with Uranus in Taurus in 2021. Both Uranus in Taurus and Saturn in Aquarius want change in their own ways. Uranus is less predictable and Saturn is more serious about it, with a stronger, more authoritarian attitude. Saturn in Aquarius indicates the need to respond to social changes as it makes a sextile with rebel, feminine disruptor, 10th planet Eris in Aries on Friday. As much as people and authorities try to control the actions of others, individual rights are strong and fired up. There are limits on how much government can encroach on personal lives. This will continue as Jupiter enters Aries on May 10 and Mars enters Aries on May 24. Use this Moon in Cancer to nurture and listen to your intuition. In the dark sky, the Moon begins to wax into the light again as she enters Gemini early Monday. The energy of life is fresh and alive with possibility. There’s so much to think about as the Moon joins Mercury also fresh into Gemini. And a little over an hour after that, Taurus’ Venus shifts her perspective dramatically as she exits Pisces and enters Aries. Venus is the planet of your desires. After the exalted but dreamy transit in Pisces, you’re ready to move through some old inertia and do what you want to do. Venus in Pisces helped diffuse the contrasts between others. With Venus is in Aries until May 28, you’re motivated to act on everything that supports YOU. Tuesday’s Jupiter in Pisces sextile Pluto in Capricorn, is the first time this aspect has happened since there were three passes when Jupiter was in Scorpio in 2018, and the last time it will happen until 2030! Notice how there are opportunities to expand and open up the areas of your life that you’ve been wanting to transform. Don’t wait for another invitation. Mercury in Gemini will be stationing retrograde in a week, and so this is the time to get something started that you’ll continue to develop with its likely iterations, until Mercury stations direct on June 3. this cycle of Taurus reminds you how you are an embodiment of energy. What would you create if you tapped into all that’s possible just being you? If you’re wounded by life, as most of us have been on some level, this is an opportunity to go deeper than just talking about it and skimming the surface. Feel all the senses of life that you are and amplify your life force to move through old layers of outdated patterns. You are what you’ve been waiting for. This is the time to trust yourself and receive the benefits of growth in every dimension of your life. The cosmic bonus of this Jupiter/Pluto sextile, is that its followed by Mars in Pisces sextile Uranus in Taurus. You are motivated more than ever to make the changes you’ve been wanting to make by taking a different approach. This is a powerful time to take steps forward in a fresh new way. Yes, you may feel uncertain, because you can’t fully see what’s ahead. The Moon enters all the senses of Taurus on Friday at 5:19pm PDT/8:19pm EDT/12:19am GMT and makes no aspects until it joins the Taurus Sun and creates the partial solar eclipse on Saturday at 1:28pm PDT/4:28pm EDT/8:28pm GMT. With the Venus/Neptune conjunction on Thursday, I came down with COVID. It’s definitely been an other-worldly experience that’s giving me days to dream, rest, and love my body for the great job it’s doing to move this virus out. Every new moon is an intentional seed full of promise for the month ahead. You don’t know what’s ahead in the dark womb of starlight, but you know something is up. Uranus is close to this New Moon and indicates true security is in being able to approach everything with different perspective and willingness to look at resources in a new way. With Uranus involved this is a breakthrough opportunity. Because the north node is in Taurus, all eclipses of 2022 are in the Taurus and its opposite sign of Scorpio. when the Moon and the Sun join the north or the south node. There will be a total Scorpio lunar eclipse that follows this new moon on May 16, and then a partial Scorpio solar eclipse on October 25, followed by a total Taurus lunar eclipse on November 8, Taurus reinforces self-worth through your physical experience of you 5+ senses. With Uranus in Taurus, you may discover how you’re developing access to new senses. Physical and material resources eventually dissolve and transform to reveal the non-physical essence of things, which is Scorpio and its planetary ruler, Pluto, which just stationed retrograde. The transiting Scorpio south node supports your ego surrender so that you can experience a deeper connection with life. The north node in Taurus is helping you rebuild and create a new form of stability. With Pluto now retrograde through October 8, you’re creating a personal metamorphosis that aligns you with your deepest calling. Taurus wants comfort and stability but holding onto comforts doesn’t allow the growth that comes from innovative change. Venus, and her lofty values, in Pisces, is the ruler of this Taurus New Moon, as Taurus’ depositor and she points to the extraordinary creative potential of this phase with an exact conjunction with the generous bounty of Jupiter. Venus is also semi-square Uranus in Taurus and indicates the value of things changing. This Solar Eclipse will be in effect until the next solar eclipse on October 25, and will support you in putting your values into action with the Sun and Moon sextile Mars in Pisces. Mars is the push to apply energy, and in Pisces, indicates a push for compassionate solutions on how we can coexist a bit better with this Taurus New Moon also conjunct progressive Uranus. Uranus, the awakener, and planet of future trends and breakthroughs is key as it’s traveling with the Taurus North Node this year. It’s a materialistic world, but it’s getting a shake up in with Uranus in Taurus from May 2018 - April 2026 and bringing effects that are felt by our whole society, as it’s a transpersonal planet. Although you’ll benefit from taking Uranus’ messages to make some changes, personally. This Taurus Solar Eclipse represents the energy for new commitments in the world due to changes in what was reliable, has now become unreliable. The Moon enters Aries on Wednesday at 9:10am PDT/12:10pm EDT/4:10pm GMT and wants to do something. Put your energy into something or someone you love as the magnified powers of Venus in Pisces perfects its conjunction with the infinite possibilities of Neptune. As you stand on the earth with the Sun in grounded Taurus, the mystical Neptunian energy is waxing to a crescendo as exalted magical Venus in Pisces swims past Neptune on Wednesday and then bountiful Jupiter, within an hour of the solar eclipse on Saturday. This is amazing energy for hope and optimism about all of life. In its extreme, as it is now, it can also reveal the oceans of illusions that exist worldwide. Venus, the planet of love, money, peace and relationships, is currently a morning star, until October 23, when she returns as an evening star, in the sign of Scorpio. Rising in the morning, she is more assertive, than peace-making. With the Moon in Aries, you can define how you want to direct this dreamy energy. You can envision the ideal. But you’ll still need to do the work to make it real. This is perfect for this final phase of surrender before the Taurus Solar Eclipse begins a new lunar cycle with a six-month significance early Saturday. As I shared in the previous episode, Pluto will station retrograde on Friday, before the Moon enters Taurus. On Thursday, with Pluto at a near standstill, Mercury in Taurus, now in its retrograde shadow, dives into the power of words as you focus deeply on the areas of thought that have been on your mind since the weekend. With Pluto bringing attention to the things that scare you, you can heal deep emotional wounds by understanding what you need to let go of to allow more of the abundance into your life. On Friday, bold Moon in Aries wants act and prepare for the changes ahead as it sextiles Saturn in Aquarius and then conjuncts Eris in Aries. Right after Pluto stations retrograde, the Moon in Aries squares Pluto retrograde, and brings out the importance of perspective as you now have an opportunity to develop the qualities of Pluto within during its 5 month retrograde. Venus in Pisces with Neptune and soon with Jupiter is a reminder of the unity we share, as humans, seeking a good life, through growth that’s infinitely possible and through actions to creating something better. It’s easier to consider other perspectives as Mercury, the planetary communicator and trickster with ever surprising twists, enters Gemini until the 4th of July!
