As experts in Applied Change Management, The Change Lab helps organizations quickly adapt by installing change in their DNA. They define themselves as a lab because they believe in the value of experimentation and learning as key aspects of fulfilling their purpose. Gabriela discusses how she and her team brought about a significant culture shift at their client Vida Security. Vida provides financial and asset protection insurance to over 600,000 customers nationally and internationally. The challenge for the Change Lab team was to assist Vida with a cultural transformation that strengthened collaboration, customer focus, new practices, and compliance. This change initiative was undertaken to help Vida achieve their main goal of increasing profits by 50% over five years.

Disrupting the Status Quo with Bernhard Kowatsch

In this episode, Greg is talking with Bernhard Kowatsch, Head of the United Nations World Food Programme Innovation Accelerator. Started in 2015, this global social impact startup accelerator and digital venture builder serves the UN’s World Food Programme and external clients. The Innovation Accelerator has supported over 100 projects, with 16 innovations scaling-up globally to achieve significant impact. In 2021 alone, these projects reached more than 9 million people across 67 countries through WFP’s humanitarian field operations. Innovations supported by the Accelerator have raised more than US $180 million in co-funding. The Accelerator was Awarded Best Workplace for Innovators in both 2020 and 2021 by Fast Company, and Bernhard was one of four Finalists for Fast Company's Innovative Leader of the Year in 2021. Bernhard talks us through the peaks and valleys of establishing a new unit within a large and diverse organization, that has a mandate of disrupting the status quo to bring about significant change, in numerous locations around the world.
