Episode 85 is on the scene with the King Of The Modifieds, Luke Baldwin. Baldwin talks about his season on the SMART Modified Tour thus far and what he has learned in the early part of the season. He also talks about his foray into the CARS Pro Late Model Tour this season starting at ACE on Friday night. The son of longtime Modified team owner and former Daytona 500 winning Crew Chief Tommy Baldwin also tells us about a budding media career. The podcast is hijacked by his brother Jack Baldwin and the Appalachian State student tells us about his own Modified career and who is the better Baldwin. They also take a moment to share stories over their fallen crew member and friend Glenn Dixon who recently passed away. It is over a half hour of fun that you do not want to miss with these budding modified superstars. The closest finish in Cup Series history is discussed in full at Kansas. Kyle Larson defeated Chris Buescher by 0.0001 seconds and we are glad that we do not have to hear about Aero Push, Tapered Spacers or anything else besides good hard racing. The boys also discuss Corey Heim and how big of a future he has in the top series and review the Truck Series Race. The zMAX CARS Tour returned to action at Ace Speedway on Friday night and we give you all the analysis, breakdown and interviews that you can handle. If your last name is Kvapil and you were on the entry list in the Late Model Stock or Pro Late Model race, you probably were very happy as the second Kvapil sweep at Ace Speedway alone took place Friday. Connor Hall may have had a tough night at Ace but he rebounded on Saturday with a sweep at Larry King Law's Langley Speedway to further his NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Racing Series point lead. We discuss Jake Johnson's first NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour win at Monadnock Speedway. This second generation driver attends Liberty University full time while racing at Langley on the weekends. He is back with R & S Race Cars and has a new teammate this year in Deac McCaskill. These two drivers have 22 combined tour wins, are tied for 2nd on the all time win list, 84 combined top 5's and 132 combined top 10 finishes. We welcome them both on the podcast to discuss the upcoming season. Deac shares his recovery from the concussion he suffered during the Thanksgiving Classic at Southern National back in November and his love for the Chicago Bears. Thomas Hensley is a third generation racer. His dad Jeff is one of the most successful crew chiefs in the history of both the NASCAR Xfinity and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. His late grandfather Hubert was the man behind Hensley Racing which won the 1990 NASCAR Busch Series Championship with Chuck Bown. In part one, Thomas tells us about his budding career which includes the 2023 Rookie of the year title at Franklin County Speedway and stories of his famous Virginia racing family.
