That's about as much time as it takes to travel the Trail of 1898 from Dyea to Dawson, in your podcast equipped car not by mule, boat or dogsled of course! This podcast is a labour of love by two Yukoners with a passion for local history. Pascale Halliday and Keith Halliday do most of the narrating, with guest appearances by other Yukoners and Alaskans.

Soapy Smith is one of the gold rush's most notorious names, even though he never made it to the Klondike. He found his gold in the pockets of other men. After Frank Reid shot him in Alaska's most famous shoot out, a Seattle newspaper remarked that he remained "the most popular man in Alaska."
