On December 20, 1994, a female’s fully skeletonized remains were found in Sugarloaf Township, Pennsylvania during a mine reclamation project. The surveyor of the project noticed something on a steep embankment overlooking a water filled strip mine. He found a pelvic bone. This area of Sugarloaf Township is wooded and about two miles from the West Hazleton exit of Interstate 81. Jane Doe was found wearing a yellow colored t-shirt with “Kiss My Ass, I’m On Vacation” on the front, light colored Macgregor brand sweatpants, and one sneaker, British Knights brand in a boys size 6. On January 8, 2014, contractors were working along a mid-central Mississippi creek in Sharkey County when they found a skull in a drainage canal. There were no other remains found with the skull. In January 2021, DNA results indicated that Sharkey County John Doe was a black male and he likely has relatives form Sharkey County or the surrounding areas. Carbon dating performed through the University of Arizona suggests the boy was born between 2000 and 2004 and likely died between 2007 and 2012. Sharkey County John Doe is described as a black male, between 5 and 7 years old, height and weight undetermined as the entirety of his remains have still not been found. December 22, 1974: Remains were found near Cove Mountain chalet, below the tramway station at Gatlinburg Ski Lodge in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The remains were an unidentified adult female, estimated age range of 30-45. The remains were whole, but unable to be identified due to the level of decomposition. Investigators believe Gatlinburg Jane Doe was a white female, around 5’8” and 140 pounds with short, brown hair and hazel eyes. She was found wearing a white short-sleeved blouse with small yellow flowers, dark blue pants, dark blue heavy men's socks over panty hose, a white sweater, and dark blue coat with permanent creases.
