His career started as a mortgage loan officer for a small firm in Glenside, PA. After only a year at the mortgage company, Malik left that company to launch a mortgage company of his own. A few months into this new venture, the economy began to collapse. After eight months of banks closing and years of millions of people losing their homes, the economy started to stabilize. Malik had to pivot and adjust to survive because the mortgage industry changed. Malik began buying foreclosed properties and renting them out to supplement his income. Malik sold one of the rentals for an excellent profit and decided to also flip properties. So many people were interested in the properties being flipped that Malik started helping other buyers find houses, launching his career as a Realtor. Today Malik flips several houses a year, still maintains a portfolio of rental properties, and helps families buy their dream homes. Lorenzo quickly found his niche in property management, he smoothly worked his way up the corporate ladder holding positions as a leasing consultant, assistant property manager, and property manager. While working full time in his corporate positions he built a multi-million dollar real estate portfolio and decided to run his property management (Jackson Rental Homes) and construction (Jackson Home Remodeling) company full time. He is currently growing his property management Mr. Jackson has received awards as the top leasing consultant for Berkshire Properties, Outstanding Service for Berkshire Properties, and was recently recognized for his real estate work as “40 under 40” for Philadelphia Real Estate Week. Mr. Jackson is an advocate in the city of Philadelphia and surrounding counties to teach entrepreneurship within the schools and programs assisting disadvantaged minorities. He regularly attends career days, panels and accepts mentorship programs. Lorenzo is a married, father of two and resides in the Philadelphia area..
