Sharing my progression from feeling like a little kid, needing validation and hand-holding, to now feeling like an adult and finally owning my life, my choices and who I am! So when I saw a tick tock yesterday and it reminded me of my experience taking a polygraph test and how the narrative of "I'm going to get in trouble" plays in my head DAILY and I just realized it!

We learn the life saving act of CPR when we have kids but have no idea what to look for or what to do in the most traumatic situation that affects so many children. 1 in 4 kids are sexually abused. 95% of the time the abuser is a family member or close friend. My hope is that our story inspires healing and opens eyes to the reality of the sexual abuse happening all around us.

I used to believe I had to push and fight to get what I wanted. I believed that if I was successful, something else that I cared about would suffer.
