11/28/2024
John Carpenter, the master or horror behind such classics as "Halloween" and "The Thing" brings a different take on the possession genre with a little science fiction flair in this lessor known 80s flick, Prince of Darkness. Reuniting with Dr. Loomis himself (Donald Pleasence) and with a surprise appearance by Alice Cooper this cheesy, yet intriguing horror film is quite entertaining. We are joined by special guest G.G. Abrahams of the Ridiculous World of G.G. Abrahams in this latest episode of FYC Film Review.

Disney's Robin Hood (1973) - Movie Review

10/7/2024
A story that has been told time and time again...only animated! Disney tackles the classic tale of Robin and his merry men, err animals as they rob from the rich and give to the poor. An underrated film for the mouse house that doesn't feel talked about enough. Tune in for the full review and let us know your thoughts on Robin Hood.

Madras Cafe (2013) - Movie Review

9/28/2024
A fictional espionage thriller set to the backdrop of the Sri Lanka civil war. While the true story of the atrocities of a decades long war are gripping the characters in Madras Cafe just don't pull you in to make you care about them enough. The story feels a bit underweight as we follow an agent and a journalist as they navigate their roles in the war. Tune in to hear all our thoughts on the film and let us know what you thought!

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024) - Movie Review

9/8/2024
Say his name three times and he'll be there to help with all your beyond the grave problems! Problem is no one has said his name in 35+ years and it probably should've stayed that way. The gang is back together for a long awaited sequel to Beetlejuice but with mixed results. Gone is the joy and wonder that Burton so masterfully crafted back in the 80s. Richard Jewell (2019) - Movie Review

8/24/2024
As another Olympics come to a close, we look back to 1996 when the summer games were hosted in Atlanta and a terrorist attack was thwarted by an unlikely hero. A security guard named Richard Jewell found the explosives and was able to help law enforcement save hundreds of lives. His thanks came in the form of the FBI treating him as the prime suspect. Clint Eastwood delivers an excellent telling of one man's rise and fall from hero to villain and back again in this 2019 drama.

One Crazy Summer (1986) - Movie Review

8/6/2024
To say "One Crazy Summer" is an acquired taste is a fair assessment of our review this time around. Not the ideal choice for the inaugural FYC review from John Cusack's film portfolio. Some solid comedy from Bobcat Goldthwait and a classic 80s soundtrack can't really bring your FYC hosts to agree on whether this is a true summer classic. Let us know your thoughts on the movie and if you agreed with our review!
