June of 2020: I revealed my ranking of the entire Friday the 13th franchise and we covered my favorite (part VI) and least favorite (part VII) movies on that list. June of 2021: I began our journey, start to finish, of the franchise by reviewing parts I and II. June of 2022: We took a trip to the third dimension with part III. June of 2023: The franchise comes to an end w/ "The Final Chapter"... or does it? Enter Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter. The franchise takes a stab at an epic conclusion by hiring a big name actor like Corey Feldman, nabbing up a big up and coming star in Crispin Glover and, securing the talents of Kimberly Beck who, surely, was a recognizable face at the time. Generally, "The Final Chapter" is regarded as the height of the franchise - so, it would appear their epic conclusion was a success. Do I feel the same? There's a pretty good variety of options coming out this February. I'm not so sure there's a home run in the bunch but a few well loved shows (new seasons) should give fans something good to chew on at least! Time Stamps:

The epic final conclusion, where Laurie and Michael face off in a final battle of wits! It's finally here folks and boy is it divisive! I do give a spoiler warning towards the end of the review before I get into a little bit of talk that could give away a few big things about the movie. I hope you enjoy and Happy Halloween Season!!

Just letting you know I'm not, not uploading (AKA, I am) to this channel anymore. There will be continue to be a sparse amount of uploads for the time being; hopefully not forever. This is something that I enjoy doing and I hope other enjoy listening to my work. So, for as long as I can afford to keep this available, I will. Money's tight but it's not super expensive either. I'll do my best to get a couple of reviews in to end this year! Thanks for everything and I did speak on a little bit of content in this episode :)

July feels surprisingly light on big name new content outside of Netflix but there are still a few sure fire options (across the rest of the board) dependent upon personal tastes. Time Stamps:

After laying some of the groundwork in Part II, Part III cements the route in which the franchise would go in the future. I entered this disco floor with plans to get my groove on with the confidence of John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever; unfortunately, Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man 3 would have been a better expectation for this dance. After taking a small step forward from Part I, will the third movie continue taking steps forward or will it take a step back before we reach the (generally regarded) height of the series in episode IV? May was not a let down and for many the good times should keep rolling in June with a few more headlining shows returning for long awaited seasons. Time Stamps:

Some big ticket shows are releasing their newest seasons this month! Also, really excited to checkout the movie "Hatching" coming to Hulu. As a follow up to the children's version, the adult version of Animation Throw-down (attempts) to pit five adult themed pieces of animated entertainment against one another to declare the victor! On episode 11's slate: Akira (1988) Batman: Under the Red Hood (2010) Podak - AKA "Swimming to Sea" - (2012) Pretty Guardian: Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie (2021) America: the Motion Picture (2021) You may be able to guess which one wasn't adult themed... your host is an idiot. Which will receive the dreaded VHS rating and which will get a DVD, Blu-Ray or even 4K Blu-Ray rating?! Take your guesses now and enjoy.

A slew of classic movies are being dropped across most of the services which is always nice. There may not be many blockbuster type of new streaming options this month but, there are many interesting options coming out. Pitting five action-flicks of the past against one another in a stacked battle for the ages. For the most part these movies are part of a time that has long past in Hollywood. Things are heating up in March after a slow start to the year for new content.
