S6 E7 with Fantasy Author Kelly O'Hearn

1/27/2026
When Kelly O’Hearn first stepped off the train in the city of Florence, Italy, as a 20-year-old, she had the overwhelming instinct that she had been there before. In a place famous for its maze of medieval streets, O’Hearn navigated the city as if she had lived there for a lifetime. Born in New York City, O’Hearn first put her intuitive skills to work as a professional wine taster, instructor, and sommelier in the elite institutions of New York, Portugal, and Aspen. After raising her two children and enduring a personal health crisis, in 2012, she was drawn to begin reading the tarot cards, an ancient practice which does not presume to “predict the future” but offers a collection of stories, perspectives, and self-reflections that can guide one to become one’s most authentic self. O’Hearn is in high demand for her readings, with clients on every continent but Antartica. While most people were baking sourdough or riding their Pelotons during the Covid pandemic, O’Hearn used the tarot cards to channel her own past lives. Weeks of readings, all captured on video, yielded six storylines of herself as several powerful women over the millennia and around the globe: the same one soul, over time, persevering against all odds in the quest for happiness and the love of a soul mate. This time-bending saga inspired O’Hearn to conceive of a series of novels titled Arcanum. Find Kelly, her books, and Tarot bookings at https://www.arcanumtheseries.com/

S6 E6 with Fantasy Author Gordon Frisbie

1/23/2026
With college degrees in wildlife biology and environmentalengineering, my professional career followed the same path with a primary focus on air quality. In other words, years and years of crunching numbers in a small cubical. My off-time has been much more interesting and fulfilling. I frequently explore the Front Range urban sprawl with canine companions wherewe've discovered little known pockets of wild happiness. Camping, fishing, and skiing have also found their way into my schedule whenever possible. Aside from pile of technical reports, my creative writing wasmostly limited to online essays and posts on a variety of platforms. My first book, Echoes in the Stars was completed about three years ago and was inspired by adventures with my Australian shepherd Boo-boo. Echoes received a CIPA awardand a few reviews that were embarrassingly positive. A year after finishing Echoes, I began writing Farm Pond while caring for my aging mother. This book was published last July and feedback has been limited but mostly good. I’ve also started my own imprint, TFL Stories (https://tflstories.com), which is currently a sleepy enterprise with aspirations of becoming a more significant thing. I’m especially proud of the trademark which I designed and successfully registered with the USPTO. If you squint your eyes, it almost looks like a teddy bear.

S6 E1 with Kalee Boisvert of "Make Money Your Thing"

1/6/2026
From Kalee... I didn’t grow up with money and I watched my single mother struggle. I always wished there was something I could do to help. It was then, at that early age, that my own journey to financial independence began. This is my absolute passion – I love creating new possibilities in people's lives by showing them the ropes when it comes to money. I’m here to spark healthy and positive conversations around wealth and investment and help create a world where no one is limited by their financial situation. I chose to become a financial advisor to empower and support women and put an end to their money-related stress. I believe no woman should ever have to feel anxious about how to support themselves, their family, or their futures. Today, I am a single mom and a financially independent woman. Being an advisor allows me to work directly with women to empower and support them. Five years ago, I started hosting monthly women’s only events to create a comfortable space for women to learn and discuss money and investment topics. With the promotion of financial literacy being one of my top priorities, I host a podcast titled The Wealth and Wellness podcast where I bring together the important link between our net-worth and self-worth. I have appeared on the Global Morning Show in Calgary to discuss ways to teach our children about money. I have also written numerous financial related articles, one such article titled ‘Raising Money Savvy Children’ was published in Calgary’s Child Magazine. In 2023, I have two books being released; one, a non-fiction book titled Make Money Your Thing! and a children’s picture book called MoneyWise, Mabel’s Bursting Bank. S5 E84 with Fantasy Author Trevor Jones

12/19/2025
About the author... from Trevor I started writing when given a typewriter at the age of ten. The world of Kinthur was born in 1991 during the start of my journey through college. The first novel, Penta Ka Wa: The Dark Gift started as an oral story told to friends, but as the years passed, the story got longer and came alive, demanding it be put to paper. Inspired by role-playing games (Dungeons & Dragons) and all the influences of the great fantasy writers in the past, the world of Kinthur was born. Over 10,000 years of history have been planned out to be shared and more stories are on the way. Kinthur is filled with dragons, elves, heroes, vampires, gods and more fantastical creatures than you can throw a grimoire at. The Penta Ka Wa series came first, as the character held a special place in games and story alike. The next series, The Adventurers, was born out of one of Penta's chance encounters with a wayward group of travelers. Theirappearance was so momentous, they had to have their own series. After that my wife joined me in my writing journey and we started a third series of book based on actual games played in my fantasy world. We’ve moved to Costa Rica with our two dogs to semi-retire and write full time. We hope to give more Kinthur to our readers than ever before and look forward to interacting with them as the canon of Kinthur grows.
