He shares his perspective on transitioning from surgeon to patient, the challenges of navigating burn unit care, and the mental and physical resilience required for recovery. Many feel because they were not inherently placed in gifted or honors classes throughout their educational journey that they are not worthy of the title of physician, and Will's story is here to encourage those with that frame of mind that the grade school system, and grades in general, are not a definition of your ability to be a courageous and caring doctor.
