ABOUT STEVE CROPPER: Legendary American guitarist, songwriter and record producer Steve Cropper is known as the guitarist of the Stax Records house band and Booker T. & the M.G.'s, which backed artists such as Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, Carla Thomas, Rufus Thomas and Johnnie Taylor. He also acted as the producer of many of these records. He was later a member of the Blues Brothers band. Rolling Stone magazine ranked him 36th on its list of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time, and has won two Grammy Awards from his seven nominations. ABOUT ROGER EARL OF FOGHAT: Celebrating 50 years of Foghat in 2021, Roger Earl is still ferociously banging away! Born in London, England (Hampton Court & raised in Hounslow) in 1946 to a musical family where his father played piano at home and local pubs and there was always music in the house. Although he wanted to play piano, his older brother Colin Earl (keyboard player with the band Mungo Jerry of ‘In the Summertime’ fame) won that right. Roger began to play drums at the age of 12, took lessons for two years, and played with local bands around London while working as a commercial artist. He had a measure of success before auditioning for and joining the British Blues band Savoy Brown at age 20, with whom he recorded 5 albums (1967-1970) and toured the U.S. extensively. In 1970, Roger and Lonesome Dave Peverett decided to leave Savoy Brown to form Foghat. They enlisted former Savoy bass player Tony Stevens and Slide guitarist Rod Price and the rest has been rock n’ roll history. ABOUT ROD ARGENT: A member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and founding member of The Zombies. Rod was the band’s principal composer including on 1964’s “She’s Not There”. After the group split in 1969 he formed the band Argent who enjoyed several hits in the 1970’s including “Hold Your Head Up”. Also in the 70’s Rod conducted session work for The Hollies, John Williams, The Who and Andrew Lloyd Webber. He worked as Webber’s pianist for 10 years before turning to film and TV scores. He resurrected The Zombies in 2004. With agile, elegant, unfailingly supportive basslines, the man with the waist-length beard could pump fuel into Jackson Browne's engine on the rocking "Running on Empty" and fall like a gentle summer shower onto James Taylor's "You've Got a Friend" with equal expertise. Leland has played on over 2,000 albums for Carole King, Linda Ronstadt, Toto, Lyle Lovett, Phil Collins, Hall & Oates, Warren Zevon, Rod Stewart, Jackson Browne, James Taylor and so many more.
