Bob Harrod Pt. Two

2/19/2026
July 27, 2009. Placentia, California. 81-year old Bob Harrod is discovered to be missing from his home and he has left his car and his eyeglasses behind. One month earlier, Bob had gotten married to Fontelle Heeter, a former spouse whom he had not seen in six decades, and she was scheduled to move in with him two days after he disappeared. Since Bob has a substantial net worth, the division of his estate causes a lot of friction between Fontelle and Bob’s daughters. There is speculation that Bob’s financial situation played a role in his disappearance, but he is never found and there is no physical evidence to indicate what happened to him. On this week’s episode of “The Path Went Chilly”, we explore the tragic case of Bob Harrod, whose life suddenly transitioned from a heartwarming love story to a baffling unsolved mystery. If you have any information about this case, please contact the Placentia Police Department at (714) 993-8164. Paul and Sarah Skiba and Lorenzo Chivers Pt. Two

2/5/2026
February 7, 1999. Westminster, Colorado. 38-year old Paul Skiba, his nine-year old daughter Sarah Skiba, and 36-year old Lorenzo Chivers spend the day performing moving jobs for a company Paul owns before they all vanish without a trace. When the company’s parking lot is searched, Paul’s moving truck is found, but there is ample physical evidence, including blood and bullet holes, to indicate that foul play took place. There are numerous theories surrounding the case, such as the disappearances being connected to a dispute between Paul and his estranged girlfriend, but none of the three victims are ever found. On this week’s episode of 'The Path Went Chilly', we explore a tragic missing persons case involving a father, a daughter and an employee who all vanished together. If you have any information about this case, please contact the Westminster Police Department at (303) 658-6430 or Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-7867. Harry and Megan Tooze Pt Two

1/22/2026
July 26, 1993. Llanharry, Wales. 65-year old Harry Tooze and his 67-year old wife, Megan Tooze, are both shot to death at their remote farm before their bodies are hidden inside the cowshed. The investigation eventually focuses on Jonathan Jones, the boyfriend of the Toozes’ daughter, and after his thumbprint is found on a saucer inside the farmhouse, he is charged with the murders. While Jonathan is found guilty of the crime and sentenced to life imprisonment, the Court of Appeal deems his conviction to be unsafe and he is released from prison one year later. If Jonathan Jones was not responsible for the murders of Harry and Megan Tooze, then who was? And what could their motive have been? For the first time, “The Path Went Chilly” explores an unsolved cold case from Wales, which is considered to be one of their most baffling crimes ever. Bobby Bizup Pt. Two

1/15/2026
August 15, 1958. Boulder County, Colorado. While attending Camp St. Malo, a Catholic boys’ summer camp, a ten-year old hearing-impaired boy named Bobby Bizup vanishes without a trace. Nearly one year later, some of Bobby’s skeletal remains are discovered on a mountainside three miles from the camp and it is initially believed that he got lost and died of exposure. However, an investigation into child sexual abuse allegations against Catholic priests eventually reveals that some of these accused individuals worked as counsellors at Camp St. Malo during the time period Bobby went missing. In 2021, a man comes forward and provides the authorities with a skull which he claims had been given to him by his father. While DNA testing has not yet been performed, there is speculation that the skull belonged to Bobby and that foul play and a cover-up may have taken place. On this week’s episode of “The Path Went Chilly”, we explore the unexplained death of Bobby Bizup, which has recently returned to the spotlight because of a shocking scandal. If you have any information about this case, please call the National Park Services’ Investigative Services Branch tip line at (888) 653-0009. Listverse: No Longer a Mystery Pt. Three

12/18/2025
Back in 2013, Robin wrote a Listverse article profiling ten heartbreaking cases of unidentified people found under mysterious circumstances—Jane and John Does whose names seemed lost forever. At the time, they were buried under placeholder names like “Little Miss Panasoffkee,” “Lyle Stevik,” and “Beth Doe,” with investigators following dead-end leads and families never knowing what happened to their loved ones. But here’s the incredible part: they’re not mysteries anymore. Thanks to groundbreaking advances in DNA technology, forensic genealogy, and tireless cold case investigators, several of these forgotten souls have finally gotten their names back. Over this three-episode series, we’ll revisit each case from Robin’s original article, share the haunting details that captivated true crime followers for decades, and reveal the remarkable breakthroughs that solved them. You’ll hear about Little Miss Panasoffkee, identified in October 2025 after 54 years through cutting-edge fingerprint technology; Lyle Stevik, whose identity was uncovered by genetic genealogy but remains protected by his family’s wishes; Beth Doe, the brutally murdered pregnant teen who turned out to be 15-year-old Evelyn Colon; Baby Hope, identified as 4-year-old Anjelica Castillo after an anonymous tip; and the Grateful Dead fan finally named as Jason Callahan after Reddit sleuths and DNA testing brought him home. We’ll also cover El Dorado Jane Doe (now known as “Kelly”), Caledonia Jane Doe (Tammy Jo Alexander), and explore which cases still remain unsolved, waiting for that one crucial breakthrough. Each episode will take you through the original mystery, the painstaking investigation, and the emotional moment when these unidentified people finally got their dignity—and their names—back. Listverse: No Longer a Mystery Part One

12/4/2025
Back in 2013, Robin wrote a Listverse article profiling ten heartbreaking cases of unidentified people found under mysterious circumstances—Jane and John Does whose names seemed lost forever. At the time, they were buried under placeholder names like “Little Miss Panasoffkee,” “Lyle Stevik,” and “Beth Doe,” with investigators following dead-end leads and families never knowing what happened to their loved ones. The Zip Gun Bomber Pt. Two

11/27/2025
(Part 2) Today on the Path Went Chilly Robin and Jules will be covering the unsolved case of a bomber who used a homemade "zip gun" device in their attacks in the early 1980s and 1990s: the name 'bomber' is a bit of a misnomer, since there is technically no bomb but more likely a product of the time period. Steven Koecher pt. Three

10/23/2025
December 13, 2009. Henderson, Nevada. A security camera captures 30-year old Steven Koecher arriving in a residential neighbourhood, where he parks his car and is seen walking down the sidewalk before he vanishes without a trace. Earlier that day, Steven had made a 135-mile trip to Henderson from his residence in St. George, Utah, but never told anyone why, and in the days prior to his disappearance, Steven also made multiple unexplained road trips through Utah and Nevada. Since Steven was struggling financially, it is theorized that he might have travelled to Henderson in order to seek employment or make a delivery to earn some money, but there is no conclusive evidence of what happened to him. Did Steven Koecher disappear voluntarily or end his own life somewhere or did he become the victim of foul play? On this week’s episode of “The Path Went Chilly”, we explore of the most perplexing missing persons case of the modern era.If you have any information about this case, please contact the St. George Police Department at (435) 627-4319, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department at (702) 229-2907 or the Henderson Police Department at (702) 267-2323.
