StarCast has experienced a rapid growth in listeners, lately! Welcome! With so many new folks joining us online, we thought it might be a good idea to re-introduce ourselves with a quick overview of Star Ranch and social nudism, in general. One day while Barbara was doing the laundry, she ran across a Star Ranch "Bare Buns 5K Run" t-shirt. This caught her off-guard, as she had no idea that her husband, Paul, had been participating in the annual clothing-optional fun runs at Star Ranch. As you might imagine, she was initially very upset. But, after several conversations, she decided to visit and see for herself what Star Ranch was all about. Today, they are proud Star Ranch members and even have a cabin at the ranch for weekend getaways! They credit their time at the ranch for strengthing their marriage and improving their communication as a couple. Meet Barbara & Paul!

Paul & Melinda have been members at Star Ranch for just over a year! On today's StarCast, our host Mark talks with them about the unique way they decided to try nudism for the first time as a couple. Meet David and Rebecca! David loves nothing better than playing his favorite sport, baseball. Rebecca is quite content to spend the day reading a good book. David signs up to participate in all of the games and activities we offer at Star Ranch! Rebecca loves time alone to relax. But, they do have one thing in common...they're both nudists and they love life at the ranch. In today's StarCast, our host Mark asks about how they met, and what they like best about being members at Star Ranch!

Fall is a great time to be at Star Ranch! As the weather starts to cool off, we have all sorts of activities for you to enjoy au natural! In today's StarCast, Mark and Sandi tell us all about what we have planned for Labor Day Weekend, the big Star Ranch 66th Anniversary on September 23rd and the upcoming Chilly Cheeks 5K Fun Run on October 7th! Meet Kate! Kate and her husband have been weekenders here at Star Ranch for many years. Someday, they hope to make the ranch their full-time home. In the meantime, you can find Kate cooking up a delicious breakfast most weekends for members and visitors alike. Plus, she helped plant a beautiful flower garden at the front entrance to the ranch, and has spruced up our indoor pool and hot tub area so we're ready when the cooler weather arrives! And, she's always up for a game of water volleyball! We lucky to have her as a member of Star Ranch!

In this episode of StarCast, our host talks with two Star Ranch members, Jack and Sabrina. Jack (aka "Captain Jack") is one of our most popular D.J.'s for our Saturday night dances by the pool. He's also a talented K.J. (Karaoke Jock) for our monthly wildly popular Karaoke nights! Lately, Jack has been introducing everyone here at Star Ranch to the exciting world of virtual reality! Sabrina is an avid runner and participates in our spring and fall 5K fun runs! They also tell us about a private social media group that helps Star Ranch members and guests keep up to date on all of the fun activities that are always going on here at the ranch!

If you've ever attended a large event or a big holiday weekend here at Star Ranch, chances are you already know our fantastic emcee, Chris A! He's an avid runner, water volleyball player and a local business owner. Chris and his team at Bare Bottom Signs make all of the signs for the ranch, as well as for many other local businesses. He has chosen to make McDade his home because he loves the country, plus the fact that he's only a few minutes away from Star Ranch and everything we have to offer. Today, our host Mark talks with Chris about being a small business owner and his life as a nudist!

Not many people would choose to visit a nudist club for the first time during a big freeze and ice storm! But, Michelle and her husband did! The people they met that day at Star Ranch warmed their hearts and now they are regular weekenders! Hear their story on today's StarCast podcast!

Here in Central Texas, many people's first experience with social nudism takes place at Hippie Hollow on Lake Travis, the only public nude recreation area in Texas. Others enjoy their first time being nude here at Star Ranch. There are some significant and important differences between the two. Today, we talk with Phil who is not only an expert and frequent visitor to Hippie Hollow, but he's also a member of Star Ranch. He's here to explain the difference and help you decide which one may be right for you!

Paul spent many years volunteering on the Star Ranch Council, planning and organizing fun events for our members and helping to shape Star Ranch into what it is today. Paul shares the story of how his wonderful wife, Jeanie, had to talk him into trying social nudism for the first time. Paul also shares some of the rich history of Star Ranch, his secrets for playing Pétanque, and his return to the Ranch following health issues and the passing of his wife. It's an episode that all current and future members of Star Ranch should hear.

Bill and Julie were looking to escape the cold South Dakota winter and decided to make the trip south to Star Ranch and spend a few months as a part of our "Winter Texan" program. While here, Bill offered his services as a Work Camper, helping out with maintenance here at the ranch. He obviously loves what he does, and did such an amazing job that we can wait to welcome them back next winter!
