Deep Dive #3; Anger! Creation or destruction. How do you use this emotion?

1/22/2024
A new Deep Dive! This time we are talking about Anger. Anger is a so called ' doing' - emotion meaning that a lot of power can come from this emotion. Creative or destructive. Which way it goes depends on your relationship with the emotion. In this conversation we explore: - How anger is an indicator for underlying emotions - How anger can be very damaging for our physical and mental health - Why anger is so much more accepted in the corporate world than the ' softer' emotions - How Anger is never about the other person. It is always about.... you! And as always we try to make it as practical as possible for you! Emotions are crucial parts of being human, and emotions are THE doorway to true connection. Between authentic and real human beings. Allowing emotions (the highs and the lows, the painful and the pleasant ones, ALL of them) into our lives brings so much and is crucial for living a fullfilling life. 👉🏾 So yes as a leader, working with your emotions is one of the most important skills you can focus on. Pleas like, share and/or subscribe ! Diving deep #2: Emotions! And how to start using them as datapoints

10/9/2023
What does a ‘ flatliner’ look like? What do planets and emotions have to do with each other and how is language relevant when it comes to emotions? In this show Dominique Schreinemachers and Barbara Besancon - Rijntjes talk about one of our favorite topics. EMOTIONS! Many of us have been taught (explicit or implicitly…) to “control yourself” to “ look at the bright side” to “ stay positive” to “ don’t be so dramatic” , to “toughen up” and much much more. The consequence of all this well meant ‘ rules’ is that we are not always able anymore to feel, but even more importantly to connect with other people when emotions are there. And we all see in today’s world what happens when there is no connection anymore. Emotions are crucial parts of being human, and emotions form THE doorway to true connection. Between authentic and real human beings. Allowing emotions (the highs and the lows, the painful and the pleasant ones, ALL of them) into our lives brings so much and is crucial for living a full-filling life. So yes as a leader, working with your emotions is one of the most important skills you can focus on. You can find the show on your Youtube channel or via the regular podcast platforms. We are looking forward hearing from you!
