Collaboration or Sales? What's The Difference? A Conversation with Peter Anthony...

3/7/2024
Many people do not like the word sales. For many, sales can feel disingenuinous at best, and manipulative at worst. I have come to truly appreciate sales, however, becuase I have come to learn that everything in life is about sales. Sales involves investment which leads to value exchange. Without investment of some kind, there can be no container in which transmission of value can sustainably occur. With that said, however, I had a podcast interview with a man who helped me upgrade my understanding of sales tremendously. As a result of this conversation, I no longer see sales as sales, but as collaboration. Are you a collaborater? If you are, you will bring a lot of value to this world. I would like to invite you in to listen to my podcast interview with an expert collaborator named Peter Anthony. Peter Anthony is an author, speaker and Master in Professional Communication. As an expert in collaboration, Peter has run workshops for thousands of people in 12 countries for over 20 years. He consults with Fortune 500 companies to help them achieve better, smarter outcomes from more effective internal and external relationships. His book Collabradabra highlights the six moments that matter to maximize collaborative outcomes one conversation at a time. You will be glad that you listened to this episode...

The Pygmalion Effect!

2/22/2024
Did you know that you have the power to literally shape the way someone perceives themselves at an unconscious level? There is a psychological phenomenon called the Pygmalion Effect that is one of the most powerful tools that we all have at our disposal that few people are aware of. The Pygmalion Effect is always happening. Unfortunately, it's often happening in an unconscious way creating tremendous damage and division in our relationships and society. As we approach another election season here in the United States, it's imperative that we understand that our divisions and reactions toward other people and groups are largely a result of the Pygmalion Effect. I would like to invite you to give this important episode a careful listen.

What Are The Earliest Warning Signs of Chronic Disease? Another Conversation With Doctor of Ayurveda Victor Briere

9/15/2023
Do you know what the earliest warning signs of chronic disease are? In the Western world, many people assume they are in good health until they are diagnosed with a diease. The problem is, that's not how life works. Disease begins very subtly and is likely with us long before we are aware that it is there. Our system will give us warning signs in advance, however. It's important to become aware of the roots of chronic disease as it begins at the subtle level before it manifests at the physical level. In this epsiode of The Love Cast with Jamal podcast, I invited doctor of Ayurveda Victor Briere back on the show again to discuss how to recognize if we are on the road of health, or chronic disease. The warning signs just might surprise you. Give this episode a careful listen. Your life and health are worth it. You can connect with Ayurvedic Doctor Victor's work further HERE.

Why Clinging to Your Opinions & Judgments, & Your Fantasies About The Past & Future Are Draining You of Life Force Energy...

8/11/2023
In this episode of The Love Cast with Jamal podcast, Aly Sousa and I continue our series about the dynamics that drain us of vital life force energy. In this episode, we talk about why clinging to our own opinions about how life should be, and also about how our fantasies about the past or the future play a major role in draining us of life force energy leading to a breakdown in health in every aspect of our life. We also discuss the role of being present in conversation and how important it is to listen and allow ourselves to be moved by not resisting what is being communicated because of our own sense of judgement or fear of powerlessness. This conversation was one of my personal favorites with Aly. I invite you to give this episode a careful listen.

The Sacred Practice of Medicine & Giving Birth with Dr, Nathan Riley MD, OB-GYN

6/1/2023
In this episode of The Love Cast with Jamal podcast, I interview Dr. Nathan Riley MD, OB-GYN about how his experience as a physician in the western medical system led him to disillusionment, a spiritual awakening, and eventually to move beyond the traditional medical model to create a practice that is one of the most effective in the nation. Nathan Riley, MD, is a board-certified OB-GYN and fellow of ACOG who left the medical industrial complex due to his disillusionment with the “standard of care” within the conventional maternity care model. This was hard because “going with the flow” of hospital-based practice was providing him financial security. On the other hand, standing in his truth from having sat with over 1000 births and connecting with women and their families has provided him a lifestyle more in alignment with fatherhood, deepening his connection with his wife, and caring for people in the way that he had anticipated long before stepping into practice. Dr. Riley now focuses his time on upholding the traditional practice of midwifery. He supports midwives as a collaborative physician for midwives of all varieties in over twenty states. He is an advocate for home birth and still attends births for those in need. He boasts a c-section rate of <5%, which is one of the best in the U.S. This conversation covers some fascinating perspectives and I'm sure some thought provoking paradigms will be revealed to you in this episode.

Returning To Eden- A Conversation With Best Selling Author Heather Hamilton

5/9/2023
If I'm being honest, although I am an author, I am not someone who typically likes to read books. I almost never seek out books, and would rather do many other things in my down time than read. With that said, some books have a way of finding me. When they do, they usually find me because of frequency. A book recently came into my awareness called 'Returning To Eden' by Heather Hamilton. As soon as I began to interact with the book, I realized that the frequency of this book is refreshing, and one that I deeply resonate with in many ways. If you identify as a Christian, especially as an evangelical Christian, let me gently encourage you to consider listening to this episode of The Love Cast with Jamal podcast as I interview Heather Hamilton about her new book Returning To Eden. Let me also encourage you to get a copy of her book Returning To Eden. No, not because you will agree with everything in this podcast interview, (or her book), but because it may cause you to consider a perspective that your current sources of information have not been able to present you with. Growth is important for us all, and it takes conscious effort to remain open-minded and to not fall into a closed echo chamber. This is a typical challenge in belief systems of all kinds. On the other hand, if you have been deeply damaged by the Christian religion and find anything resembling your previous faith to be distaseful or triggering, let me also gently encourage you to listen to this episode of The Love Cast with Jamal podcast, and also to consider reading Returning to Eden. You may find it to be restoritive in ways you may not have thought possible.

Why Busyness & Multi-tasking Leads To Unproductivity. A New Conversation with Aly Sousa

4/20/2023
In this episode of The Love Cast with Jamal, Aly Sousa joins me on the show once again to reveal and discuss another paradigm that keeps many of us stuck and unproductive in life. Ironically, a major tendency that works against our productivity in life is the compulisve drive to get ahead and accomplish tasks. This drive leads many of us to compuslive busyness and multi-tasking. For many of us, if we are not busy doing many different things, we may feel unproductive and lazy, leading to guilt, shame, and addictive patterns of escape. For others, the feeling of unproductivity may motivate us to work harder and do more things. Either way, this pattern is a major drain of our life force energy which leads to an unproductive life. Let me encourage you to give this conversation an important listen.
