Tiernan has been living with Type 1 Diabetes for nearly 4 decades, and speaks about his experience with the condition up to this point. He spent 20+ years traveling on the road as a comedian, opening for some of the biggest stand up comics in the industry, like Frankie Boyle, but in the last two years (following the pandemic shutting down comedy for a while), he moved over to writing for TV instead. Tiernan now writes for kids TV on shows such as “Hey Duggee”. He outlines how his lifestyle has changed from driving around the county doing late night shows, to more of a 9-5 “writing from home schedule”.
