184. Fish N Chips: The Movie (2013)

4/24/2024
This week, Mish and Zach watched "Fish N Chips: The Movie" - an animated film from 2013 directed by Dan Krech. It's a film about a fish named Fish and a cat named Chips who are both dealing with some deep generational trauma surrounding the ownership of a small bone on a string that they wear like a necklace. Fish's ancestors stole the bone from Chip's ancestors after literally eating them. Chips desperately wants to get the bone back so that he can return it to his family, but Fish is being a little bitch about it. The opening titles of this movie are written in comic sans. John Leguizamo voices the cat named Chips. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

177. Waco: The Aftermath, Episode 1 (2023)

3/6/2024
So excited for this one! We loved watching "Waco" around 47 years ago (episode 9 of this silly podcast), so when we saw that in 2023 "Waco: The Aftermath" would be hitting out screens, we all thanked the Leguizamo Gods for looking down on us and saying "Ok, you pair of weirdos. Have a little treat." "WACO: The Aftermath" episode 1 is the first of 5 episodes in a series directed by Drew Dowdle and John Erick Dowdle. It tells the ongoing story of the chief negotiator of the original Waco siege, it follows the court case of a bunch of the members of the cult that got out alive and it also give a little prequel which gives us a tasty little insight into how the cult leader joined the cult and rose to the top. Basically, the aftermath. It's an honest series title. John Leguizamo plays the same bloke he played in 2018's "Waco" and he gets another really cool reveal. Hosted on Acast. 2/21/2024
This week, we've got the amazing comedian/writer Ashley Apap in the studio with us to talk about the 20th episode of the 3rd season of Disney's kid show "Elena of Avalor". This a cartoon about a princess and her free-loading blonde friend. There's a bunch of bad people who release a giant into the world... presumably to kill the princess... which is so dark. John Leguizamo plays Tziloco, a crystal bar that can make magic things happen and has glittery wings. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

174. Mixed Blood (1984)

2/14/2024
The director of 1984's "Mixed Blood" is Paul Morrissey. He is best known for having made crazy, camp and kitsch films. This particular film tells the story of a Brazilian gang of drug dealers in Manhattan led by an alpha-female mother-type. It's really vibey and strange. John Leguizamo plays a young guy playing basketball. He's on screen for about 3 seconds. This the the first feature film to feature out matrixes Johnny Legz. Hosted on Acast. 173. The King of Van Nuys (2012) with Greg Larsen

2/7/2024
Leguizamarama is thrilled to be joined by Greg Larsen this week! He is a phenomenal comedian, writer, actor and podcaster and genuinely one of the most talented people we know. To show him our appreciation for coming on the pod, we made him watch a failed pilot from 2012 titled "The King of Van Nuys" which is one of the most bizarre things we've watched in the history of Leguizamarama. "The King of Van Nuys" is an American remake of the extremely popular British sitcom "Only Fools and Horses." It tells the story of brothers Del and Dustin. Together they try a bunch of get-rich-quick schemes, but we only have the chance to see one of them because after the pilot was released, the show was dropped. Dropped hard. John plays the slick, wise-cracking Del. His grandfather is played by Christopher Lloyd who is known for playing the role of Doc Brown in the "Back To The Future" trilogy. If you didn't know this fun fact about Christopher Lloyd, you best believe that "The King of Van Nuys" will remind you about 47 times throughout the 22 minute episode. Hosted on Acast. To celebrate the commencement of 2024, we thought we'd watch a YouTube clip from the mid 90s and dedicate an entire podcast episode to it. Very normal behaviour. This week, we watched "John Leguizamo Interview On The Jon Stewart Show (June 18 1995)" which is a YouTube clip starring the man this podcast is all about. In this interview, he talks about his role on Die Hard 2, and he also shows his bottom.
