We had a great time at the California Music Hall of Fame induction ceremony everyone. One of the highlights of our evening was meeting Frank Stallone. What a gentleman! We had such a nice encounter that Frank was amenable to guesting on our podcast so today we have a great visit to share with you with Frank Stallone. What a story and what a nice guy. Hi folks this week we are visiting the family band COMPASS who hail from Canton, Ohio. They are 16 yr old Arianna and her 2 younger brothers Harrison on guitar (ahead of his time he's so good) and Johnny their 10 year old drummer (who started drumming at age 7 sound familiar anyone?) and then Constantine who will be playing keyboards when he gets a little older. Of course we felt we were interviewing a younger version of The Cowsills...it was awesome. Enjoy and please support this great family. Next week another great guest thanks so much everybody!

Hi everyone! Well the eclipse eclipsed our hopefully planned guest this week when the family band, COMPASS, found themselves smack dab in the middle of the "path of totality" for the solar eclipse and our episode was scheduled to tape smack dab in the middle of that eclipse so we will visit our family band next week because that would have been a big miss for the family. We can't wait to visit with them and see what's up. In the meantime please enjoy our ramblings about this and that.

Hi everybody WE ARE BACK FROM OUR TWO CRUISES!! We tried podcasting from the cruise ship but to no avail. So we let the rehearsal episode run while we were away hope that was okay. We had a blast and talk about that and other things. We have lots of guests to get to in 2024 and we will be starting that next week. For now we wanted to just catch you up on things and give you a report on the cruises and what's coming at us in 2024. Thanks for hanging in everyone!

Hello everybody we're heading to Miami today heading out to sea tomorrow on the Celebrity Summit for the back to back 70's and 60's cruises! In today's episode we share one of our rehearsals. As we're working up these new songs we thought we'd share what some of that work looks like so you're going to hear lousy mixes, singing that is not real serious yet, one-angle camera....we're just searching through the songs putting them together and we thought you'd enjoy seeing part of that process!!!

Hi everyone we're getting ready to head to Miami and perform on the 70's Rock and Romance Cruise and then immediately after that the Flower Power Cruise. So we have two sets of music we've been working on decade-related. Today we're relaxed and just filling everyone in on this and that and had a nice visit. Hope you enjoy the conversation. One note of interest - Bob shares with everyone what he says was the absolute worst thing our dad ever did. The #1 of all of it! We had a great visit today with Jay Reinke who happens to be Jay #3 of "Jay and the Americans". What a great story as to how that came to be. So different and amazing. We hope your 2024 has blasted off in a positive direction! Filling the shoes as the voice of Jay and the Americans is not something any singer can do....only a special singer like Jay Reink! Wait'll you hear how he got there.

Bruce kind of popped in early on us so we weren't able to set up his arrival properly but that's what's fun about the podcast...the looseness and flexibility we have. Welcome to 2024! It is amazing that we are still on our podcast path. Special thanks to Rock Positano, Steve Carlis and Danielle Kessler for keeping the podcast flame alive. What a great historic visit we had with the great New Orleans bass player extraordinaire Geore Porter, Jr.. You have to listen to this man's story it is historic and entertaining and amazing and extremely authentic. From his early days as a young boy growing up in New Orleans, he takes us down the path of his incredible musical journey which is still going to this day!

So we have no guest this week but we do catch everyone up on some issues and this and that so enjoy the visit and Merry Christmas!

After listening to this episode of The Cowsills Podcast folks you will learn that our guest, Phil Solem of the Rembrandts, has a rich history that goes way beyond the fact that he and his bandmate, Danny Wilde, as the Rembrandts recorded and released their biggest hit, the theme song from the TV series "Friends" called "I'll Be There For You". It's a long episode but no one has to listen in one sitting there was much to visit about. Phil goes way back with The Cowsills all the way to the "Cocaine Drain Album" days. Happy new episode everybody. This week's guest, Marc Nathan, takes us in to the world of the A&R position at a record company. Marc was the guy who signed artists to labels, the A&R guy. He would scour for new music and new talent and play a role in bringing it all to the public. But the story within this amazing accounting was when Marc went to bat for The Cowsills and paid a dear price. Wait until you hear Marc's recounting of the memorable meeting he had with Doug Morris of Atlantic Records regarding The Cowsills and the songs from "Global". You won't believe it!!!
