6/27/2023

He's the author of the Dweller, the greatest boy-meets-monster story ever written, as well as about 50 other books that are pretty swell, too. This list includes: Dead Clown Barbecue, Wolf Hunt, Single White Psychopath Seeks Same, and many many more equally notable and wonderful novels. There are far too many to list here-- like I said, the guy is crazy prolific! On this episode, Jeff talks to us about authors and films that influenced and inspired him. We discuss the works of Douglas Adams and Richard Laymon. Later, he singles out a handful of low budget horror films he recommends and then a few more that he actually appears in. 6/4/2023
Ed Brisson is an exceptional comic book writer. His character-driven crime stories are some of the best and most engaging books that have been published by any company in the past 15 years. Lochlyn Munro (Peacemaker, Riverdale, Unforgiven) phones up to tell us dozens of Hollywood stories about working with some of the very best (and a couple of the worst) people in the industry.

3/12/2023
With over 260 acting credits on IMDB, it's fair to say that Lochlyn Munro has had his share of Hollywood adventures. He's played cowboys, space rangers, serial killers, and dozens and dozens of policemen. And let's not forget his pivotal roles as a Karaoke singer, suicidal college student, and John Cena dance partner. That's not all though... Lochlyn is more than a mere thespian. Throughout his career, he's faced off against some of the fiercest threats the world has ever known. Namely: Jason Voorhees, Lex Luthor, Dracula, and scariest of all... Huey Lewis. (Note: This conversation was conducted by phone, so the audio quality is about what you'd expect. Great efforts were made to clean up the sound, but there are a few moments here and there that are a little less than perfect. All in all, it's not bad, though. Steve Rude PART 2

2/26/2023
Steve Rude returns with even more insight into his process and offers up some thoughts on his latest endeavor— taking over the writing duties on the ongoing Nexus comic strip. Topics in the second part of our conversation include a deep dive into ‘The Dude’s’ personal philosophies, stories about a number of celebrities he’s befriended over the years, and why cookies and Kool-Aid are a combination that can’t be beat. We also get around to talking about lots and lots of movies, and Steve weighs in with his (sometimes quite controversial) take on a number of classic films. (Note: Some segments of the audio in this episode are a little bit... crunchy. It’s not throughout the entire show and it’s not awful, but for the finicky audiophile, I thought it might be worth posting a small warning.)
