In this podcast, I share my experiences, thoughts, and conversations. Come tune in as I figure my way through life!

ep72: My June and Half of July in Review (Roe v Wade, machine learning, in-person meetings, apartment hunting in New York)

7/19/2022
Roe v Wade was overturned and Twitter blew up with mutually exclusive pro-choice and pro-life reactions. My reaction didn't neatly fall into either camp. I'm also taking a Python machine learning course on Udemy and have completed the Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, and K Nearest Neighbors modules. I'm amazed at how accessible it is for us to gain this ability to become modern day prophets. My life has also included more in-person meetings and apartment hunting in New York. ------------------------------------------------ Don't forget to subscribe to the podcast and follow me on Instagram for more random thoughts, conversations, and experiences from a third culture kid that's finding his way around the world. Overtime gets a bad rap - I worked overtime this past week but I was both tired and invigorated by it. But I do worry that too much of it would get me to neglect other parts of my identity. ep69: What I Learned This Week (H.R.8, exposure therapy, Python)

6/2/2022
In this episode, I share about three things I learned over the past week. I researched the gun control bill H.R. 8 and share why it would not have been effective in the four shootings I read about in the media. I talk about exposure therapy, a cognitive behavioral therapy strategy to manage phobias I read about from this online free book. And, lastly, I share my thoughts on Python libraries I experimented with, including seaborn for data visualization and the Robinhood API to automate your trading. ----------------------- Don't forget to subscribe to the podcast and follow me on Instagram for more random thoughts, conversations, and experiences from a third culture kid that's finding his way around the world. ep65: Did Elon Musk Invent Tesla? (GOME Part 1)

2/9/2022
David and I disagree AT LENGTH about whether we can accurately call Elon Musk one of the inventors of Tesla. We go back and forth in a heated exchange as we scour the library of information that is the internet. This episode is part 1 of our debate on who is the Greatest Inventor Of the Modern Era (70s to present day) - GOME. ep63: My 8-year LSAT journey of 7 takes

1/26/2022
So here is my 8 year LSAT journey of 7 takes, taking me from a 140 diagnostic to a 173. This is not a journey I would recommend at all given the time it took me to get to the destination - its cost in time might be too high for many, if not most, people. Instead of a recommendation, I hope this story serves more as a companion to those who are facing challenges with the LSAT, have developed strong self-doubt because of a damn test, have had friends tell you that maybe it's time to quit, or find it hard to persist with optimism. If you're heavily struggling, you are not alone - it can be and was done. So here's my journey... Actually, before I get started, I wanted to share some quick tips you can experiment with to help with LSAT performance: The LSAT is the Law School Admission Test. LSAC.org is the the best source for current and accurate information about the LSAT. --------------- Don't forget to subscribe and/or follow me on Instagram for more random thoughts, conversations, and experiences from a third culture kid that's finding his way around the world. 1/19/2022
David and I talk about how the new year is celebrated differently in different cultures and take a stab at understanding the economics behind the volatile market and the upcoming interest rate hike. I also try to convince David that the government isn't as bad as he says. Disclaimer: we do not provide financial advice on this episode. ep60: the Counter Argument for the 9 to 5 Job

1/6/2022
There are so many naysayers against the 9 to 5 "desk" job so I wanted to counter with some positive things about the job. I currently work at a 9 to 5 job myself and I strongly like it 👍. ep59: meditation revelation, faulty decisions, and the Lakers are bad

12/29/2021
I learned something cool during a Headspace session, read about another judgment fallacy we commonly make, and am baffled at how bad the Lakers are (Russell Westbrook is not a good fit). In this episode, I go at it alone as I recap my thoughts in the past few weeks. ep58: Convince Me - To Drink Coffee (+what we did over the break)

12/15/2021
I don't drink coffee and I have functioned quite well without it for decades - academically and professionally. David is an avid coffee drinker ("knows how to brew coffee" level). In this first installment of "Convince Me" series, David and I weigh the pros and cons of coffee as we attempt to sway one of us to either drink or quit coffee.
