Ep. 108: A Conversation About Holidays And Boundaries/Self-Protection

12/24/2024
Welcome back to the podcast, friends! If you're new here, I'm so glad you found my show and we're now connected! I apologize for not releasing a podcast episode last week, technical issues with Sound Trap occurred unexpectedly for me. I thank you though, for your patience with me. I never take your patience, kindness, or support for granted. With that being said, we're already at Christmas Eve somehow! I'm feeling a tug to have an honest conversation about boundaries, especially during the holidays, so that's what we're doing friends! In today's episode I share the importance of having boundaries and protecting yourself, some of my own beliefs surrounding boundaries, and share three tips for those looking to set (or strengthen) them. I also share a message for anyone really struggling right now. I have lost people around this time of year (including just days ago, we lost my last living aunt on my mom's side on the 19th). If you need extra love and support at this time of year, I hope I'm one person you can get some from. If this topic resonates with you, please feel free to DM me on Instagram (@thisiskaitey is my handle) so we can connect more! If you know someone who needs to hear this episode, send it to them or share it on social media so I can thank you for spreading the word about Triumph After Trauma. I'm so damn grateful that we're connected <3

Ep. 104: My Experience With Generational Trauma And Being A Barrier Breaker

11/12/2024
Welcome back to the podcast, friends! If you're new here, I'm so glad you found my show and we're now connected! Last week I shared big news, my prompt journal DAILY SELF LOVE, is now available on Amazon! It will become available on many more platforms within 2 - 6 weeks! I wanted to take a moment again to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the encouragement, love and support on this journey! Every ounce truly means the world to me. The links to my journal are below so it's easy for you to order! Be sure to tag me on Instagram (@thisiskaitey) when you order it so I can personally thank you, and we can connect more <3 LINKS TO PB AND HC COPY GO HERE!!! With last week being the official release of my first prompt journal, I felt it was the right time for us to have a conversation about the importance of doing the work daily to combat our mental health and negative thought patterns. There are so many things that can make loving, taking care of, honouring ourselves feel impossible. Things such as changes with our body/health, tragedy striking, serious health issues, mental health struggles, are just a few examples. No matter what you're going through or experiencing in life, it's important to do what you feel capable of each day to take care of your mental health and mindset because as much as brains can be brilliant, our own brains can be our biggest bully sometimes. I hope you enjoy today's honest conversation about how important and worthy the daily work to combat and protect your mental health is, friends! If you resonate with this episode, feel free to message me on Instagram (@thisiskaitey is my handle) so we can connect more! If you know someone who needs to hear this, share it with them or post it on social media and tag me so I can personally thank you for sharing the word about Triumph After Trauma! 11/5/2024
Welcome back to the podcast, friends! If you're new here, I'm so glad you found my show and we're now connected! My original plan for this weeks episode was to go off our conversation last week about generational trauma and barrier breaking to dive (in the ways I can) into my personal experience with that, and share ways I'm working to break barriers for myself. That episode is going to be released next week, November 12th at 9:00 am EST, as I have something exciting to share with you all today, friends. MY PROMPT JOURNAL DAILY SELF LOVE IS OFFICIALLY FOR SALE ON AMAZON! In honour of Daily Self Love being released on its first of many platforms (the distribution of my journal is still in progress), I felt an appropriate topic for conversation today would be the importance of combating our mental health and negative thought patterns daily, friends. It's a great conversation about different reasons personal development is important and the power of small steps/habits daily. I hope you enjoy our chat today, friends! Speaking of daily habits, I mentioned that at some point of each day I take time to listen to the Daily Fire in Brendan Buchard's Growth Day App. It's a great mindset tool!
