One of our three core values is the value of Experience. There are many things wrapped up in this value, like excellence, intentionality, creativity, talent, and beauty. For the next five weeks, we’re going to reflect on The Experience from the lens of the birth of the early church. The book of Acts is the second volume of work from the Physician, Luke, who though not an eye-witness to the story of Jesus, he spent countless hours learning the stories, investigating the claims, and writing it all down so that all people had access to Jesus. Through this journey, we’ll see miracle after miracle. We’ll witness God’s power show up mightily. And if we use our imaginations to enter into the story, we might just taste the excitement of the experience the first followers had as the Spirit moved, and the gospel spread, from 12 followers of Jesus, to over 9 million in just 300 years. It’s going to be an amazing ride. So buckle up, hold on, and let’s enjoy watching the first followers experience the Spirit and the power of the resurrection.

We are about to enter into the Easter Season. This year, we have decided to have a 7-week series entitled “The Invitation”. We will be studying from the book of Luke. We have built this series so that you can study with someone, or by yourself. We hope that God has placed someone in your life who might like to learn a little more about who Jesus is. This will all culminate in the Easter service on March 30, 2024. Join with us as we study together, grow together, and remember the amazing God that we serve.

Luke 5:37 “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. For the new wine would burst the wineskins, spilling the wine and ruining the skins. 38 New wine must be stored in new wineskins. 39 But no one who drinks the old wine seems to want the new wine. ‘The old is just fine,’ they say.” Our first series for 2024 is entitled “New Wine.” This series takes on the metaphor of both the new wine and old wineskins and the metaphors of the Vineyard, The Gardener, and the Vine and the Branches. All of these metaphors lead us to one thing: God is faithful to be a good gardener, the Vine of which we are branches and New Wine. We will be discussing Spiritual Disciplines, why we sometimes need to throw off old traditions and find new containers for what God is giving us, and how we can consistently follow a faithful God in 2024.
