When should you travel to Europe? There’s no one answer. It really depends. My personal opinion is that you can travel to Europe most any time of year depending on where in Europe you want to travel to and what you want to experience. Officially known as the Kingdom of Fife Scotland, this council area or region is a must for lovers of history, the outdoors, charming villages and the sea. There are the fishing villages of the East Neuk area to wander about. You can delve into all the history of St Andrews with its cathedral and University. The Fife Coastal Path gives you the opportunity to enjoy the seascape of Fife. And if you want to hike up some hills, then you'll love the Lomond Hills. Often overlooked by its more famous neighbor, the region of Umbria in Italy has a lot of the same treats as Tuscany. But with fewer crowds. Small towns with cobblestoned lanes. Rolling green hills dotted with vineyards. Delicious food and world class wine. Gorgeous churches with incredible art and architecture. Dumfries and Galloway is a region in Scotland that definitely gets overlooked by many travelers. Located in southwestern Scotland, this area has a lot to offer. Stirling Castle is a well known castle not far Edinburgh and Glasgow. It's definitely on the tourist trail with good reason as it's an incredible site with lots of history. And it was a very important castle in its heyday. Nearby Doune Castle is less important. Yet it still has some intriguing history. And it has ties to a cult movie favorite — Monty Python's Holy Grail. Traveling in another language can be intimidating for so many people. I’ve had moments where some local is rattling off in Italian, Spanish, French or Turkish and I’m quite sure I’ve looked like a deer in the headlights. How do you deal with this? What are some tips to help you break down the language barrier? Because, in my opinion, you shouldn’t let language get in the way of traveling to the places you really want to go. Northwest Scotland is wild, rugged and remote. And absolutely stunning! It's one of my favorite places in all of Scotland. Braemar is a wee village in Scotland. It sits in the heart of Cairngorms National Park. And it's charming as hell! Plus it is surrounded by a stunning landscape of hills, lots of trees and 2 rivers — the River Dee and the River Clunie. Queen Victoria made this village and the surroundings popular. Canazei is a fabulous town in the Trentino-Alto Adige region of northern Italy. Specifically, it's in the Trentino province. What makes Canazei so wonderful are it's location near so many amazing Dolomite peaks and in the beautiful Val di Fassa. There are so many things to do in and around this town — from hiking and cycling to skiing and snowboarding. Yes, it's mostly about the outdoors, but the town has its charm too as do the people who live there. The Fanes-Senes-Braies Dolomite Nature Park is one of my favorite places in Italy. It sits in the Alto Adige (also know as Sudtirol or South Tyrol) portion of the Trentino-Alto Adige region. This park has some stunning mountain scenery, beautiful valleys, awesome trails and a very charming town nearby, San Vigilio di Marebbe.
