He is the world's first Climate Security Advisor to a peacekeeping mission in Somalia and has been at the forefront of some of the world's most important events, including leading the response against the Ebola outbreak in West Africa, spearheading relief efforts after the Earthquake in Nepal, and delivering life-saving programs in Chad, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Haiti. With over 20 years of international experience, Christophe has worked with a wide range of stakeholders. So, alongside the climate crisis, we have an energy crisis that affects everyone: businesses, individuals, hospitals, etc. Energy is a fundamental element of our world and simultaneously largely responsible for climate change. In this episode, Annika talks to Aurore Dudka about how the lack of energy impacts people differently by their gender. Aurore is an expert in the economics and sociology of energy innovation. She is currently working on her PhD at the University of Milan, Italy, on the topic of women in energy communities, questioning their under-representation and trying to understand the barriers they might face.
