They start by looking at another Chicago Blackhawks signing, and breakdown why they feel similar as to how they did last week when the Hawks signed a veteran player. However, they break down what the plan looks like it will be in Chicago and where they go from there. After that, they look at Shane Pinto making his return to the Senators. Alex highlights why he is excited and what this means for the team that desperately needs the boost. From there, they switch to the New York Islanders making a very surprising move and making Patrick Roy their new head coach. The guys break down the roster and what they think of the move. Finally, they look at some Edmonton Oilers news. A signing that has brought much conversation to a team that is now on a 14-game winning streak.

First, they look at the news that Dean Evason is out as coach of the Minnesota Wild. However, Chace doesn't feel their issues are really his fault. They take a look at what has happened so far to lead to a slow start and is there more that could have been done? After that, they look at Patrick Kane signing with the Detroit Red Wings and what that means for the team. The big question they have remains, is Kane really going to be good? Finally, they wrap up the podcast by discussing the Corey Perry news as of Tuesday night. Since then, Perry has made a statement. But the guys discuss the overall coverage of the news as well as why the team does not have a moral high ground to stand on and question fans.

Alex and Chace are back with an insanely busy week of NHL Content to talk about. Specifically, looking at the NHL Canadian Teams and what they are going through right now. Starting with what Alex has called a disaster in Ottawa, the guys look at how Pierre Dorion was fired and what led to this. They also discuss how DJ Smith is still the coach and weather that is a smart decision or not. From there, they switch to the Toronto Maple Leafs who had another stunning comeback last night, but something still feels off. Looking at how the moves they made have not worked out and what needs to happen moving forward. Then, they switch to out West and talk about the Calgary Flames before finishing with the disaster the Edmonton Oilers have been. However, there may still be better days ahead in Edmonton and the guys discuss why playoffs should still be expected.

And with it, the guys bring back their second edition of the NHL Watchability Rankings. An idea that the PDOcast originated, Alex and Chace sit down and rank all 32 teams from 32-1. In that, they highlight why each team might be entertaining to tune into. As well as some reasons that teams lower down the order may not be as exciting. Alex groups teams into tiers and gives Chace his list, to allow Chace to critique as they go. The guys also break down a large contract that was signed this week by a team that is relatively high in the watchability rankings. Alex breaks down why he has a certain Canadian team higher than Chace, and it is not the team you might think it is. Additionally, they look at some teams that might jump up the ranking as the year goes on.

However, they first need to take a look at some contracts that were signed this week. Starting with the Buffalo Sabres signing Rasmus Dahlin to a mega-deal. After that, they switch to the 2023 Central Division and preview each team like they have for every other division. Starting with the teams that are rebuilding, and highlighting what they look forward to. The guys have a debate about where the Nashville Predators will fall and what to expect. They work their way up the division and look at all eight teams. Giving their predictions for each one. Additionally, they look at some huge contracts the Winnipeg Jets signed and ask if that was the right decision to make.

As they always do, they start with the bottom teams in the division, ranking them into tiers. The guys also take a look at a very prominent player who signed a contract for one of these bottom-feeder teams this week. After that, they start to work their way up the division, looking at teams that may make a playoff push next. Talking about why they may be on the outside looking in but also why they may have success in the regular season. And finally, they look at the division leaders. These are teams they expect to be in the division hunt and additionally possibly the Presidents Trophy fight. They highlight why they have the defending Cup Champions not ranked in first, and the variance they may face a little more of this season.

They also examine one thing they are excited to watch over the course of this season. The teams are broken into tiers. Examining which teams expect to be where in the standings. They start with the rebuilding teams and work their way towards the teams that are contending for a playoff spot. Highlighting everything they can as they go. Today, Alex and Chace preview the 2023 Atlantic Division and each team within it. However, they first need to talk about a situation that occurred with Mike Babcock and the Columbus Blue Jackets. Looking at Babcock resigning as head coach and what it means as well as why it happened. From there, they dive into a detailed preview of the 2023 Atlantic Division. Starting with the teams they feel will be near the bottom and working their way up. Highlighting what every team looks like as well as what they did this offseason. Finally, they state something they will want to watch with the team as well as look at their over/under point totals.
