4-Term Congresswoman and 2020 presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard is a veteran with three deployments to war zones in the Middle East and Africa. She has served in uniform more than 21 years, is currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve commanding the 440th Civil Affairs Battalion, and leads her non-profit organization “We Must Protect.” Tulsi first served in elected office in the Hawaii State House of Representatives when she was 21 years old. Due to the attacks on 9/11, she enlisted in the Army National Guard. In 2004, she gave up an easy re-election campaign and volunteered to deploy to Iraq with the 29th Brigade Combat Team where she served in a medical unit. After returning home in 2006, Tulsi worked in the U.S. Senate as a legislative aide to the late Senator Danny Akaka, who was Chairman of the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee. She then volunteered for a second Middle East deployment as a Platoon Leader. Having experienced firsthand the true cost of war, Tulsi ran for United States Congress at age 31, vowing to honor the lives and sacrifice of her brothers and sisters in uniform. She prevailed In a difficult election and went on to serve in Congress for eight years as a member of the Armed Services, Homeland Security, and Foreign Affairs Committees. Don Reichelt is a trail and ultra runner living in Fairplay, Colorado with his Wife, Amy, and two dogs: Bean and Sprout. In November of 2023, Don won the USATF 24 Hour National Championship. His 2023 season featured multiple fixed-time races from 24-48 hours and a finish at the Cocodona 250. Don currently holds a 100-mile trail best of 13:16. Don set three manual treadmill world records in November 2022: furthest distance in 12 hours, fastest 100 mile, and furthest distance run in 24 hours. Growing up in an athletic family, I was introduced to power skating by my father at the age of 5. Athletics ran in my blood; my grandfather, though drafted by the NHL Montreal Canadiens, faced health setbacks that prevented him from realizing his dreams. Ilaura Longley is a born and raised Alaskan entrepreneur who owns several businesses that are all deeply rooted in her upbringing. Born and raised on a gold mine in Fairbanks, Ilaura and her sister Jordan started their own gold-panning business, the aptly named Gold Daughters, a decade ago. Since 2014, hundreds of thousands of tourists and locals alike have visited Gold Daughters, where they’re taught the fine art of gold panning, using soil brought in from the gold-rich family land. Gold Daughters opens every Memorial Day and closes its doors in mid-September when the ground starts to freeze and winter takes over the interior. Prior to opening Gold Daughters and pursuing Jewelry Design, Ilaura was a collegiate athlete competing in Division one softball at the University of South Florida. It’s also where she met her husband Drew Longley, who was a catcher at USF and then the Detroit Tigers. Ilaura and Drew balance entrepreneurial duties while parenting their ten month old son, Jules. Erin Blevins is the Co-founder of Alqemis, owner of shutupEAT and a private, special project gym in Salt Lake City, Utah.
