This week in Sea of Thieves we got a "small" patch before the Season 12 launch. I was out of town for the weekend and forgot that I didn't have the 3-day access to the PS5 version of Sea of Thieves so I didn't get to try out how the game is playing this weekend. This week in Sea of Thieves I got to play through some of the PS5 closed beta this weekend and I was surprised at what I experienced. A Gold and Glory weekend is coming this weekend and the Patreon Episode recording has been moved up to the 20th of April. Additionally, the final comic in the Sea Dog Search miniseries is out and I was very happy and surprised with the result. Season 11 Trailer for Sea of Thieves is live and while the episode is later than normal and I'm fighting a cold I had to dig into this video and bring you all of the news that they were able to stuff into this relatively short video. I think this is going to change how the game feels to play for 2024 and I'm very impressed with how willing Rare is to let go of the old systems that felt both very natural but also outdated. It's going to be interesting to see just how the community responds to this shift away from sailing to every location and working as much of a voyage as you want as we transition to a world of always-leveling Trade companies and on-demand content. This week in Sea of Thieves, I come back after a week off to talk about the things that have been going on during the last two weeks.
