For our first episode back, I am delighted to have been joined by Bernard Jackman. Bernard is someone that would be well known to many people as a well loved and respected rugby player for Ireland and Leinster Connacht and the Sale Sharks, a coach for teams including FC, Grenoble and the Cardiff Dragons, as well as a writer, broadcaster and pundit, an Irish, UK and French media. I invited him on to the podcast to talk a little bit about rugby, but a lot more about his own personal story, what he has learned from making a series of pivots in his life and career, and how he is bringing his knowledge and passion for the game of rugby to new contexts as a broadcaster, speaker and consultant. For those of you familiar with Below the Line you will know that Paul is a founder member of the Below the Line team who as a possessor of an adventurous spirit has undertaken and completed some amazing feats of human endurance which include cycling across Australia, rowing the Atlantic Ocean and exploring the far reaches of the Arctic. In a slight change from our normal format, I asked Paul to sit down with me to tell me about his latest adventure which involved leading an expedition to climb Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in the Alps and Western Europe earlier this year.
