Welcome to Botched: A D&D Podcast! Season 8, where 5th Edition D&D meets SCP! The Chaos Insurgency, after laying waste to a Foundation location, has gone back to their base of operations, along with some anomalies. However, unbeknownst to the Chaos Insurgency, those anomalies had tracking devices implanted in them. Now that the Foundation knows where the base is, they now need to counter attack. However, they can’t just destroy the base. They need to gather whatever information they might have. Unsure of what they’ll face, they dispatch an MTF to strike the base, along with a famous (or infamous) SCP representative. Who is this representative? What is waiting for them at the Chaos Insurgency base? Who will now be filling out the MTF Used Tampons? Does the SCP Foundation have a Saving Private Ryan-esque policy? Tune in and find out! At first, a group of real estate bankers in Italy are sent to investigate a vacant house and determine its value. Upon arriving, the house seems to be in a great location, but needs serious repairs. They also discover a large hidden room in the basement that does not appear on the blueprint. Upon opening the sealed door there is a strange theater mask that compels those nearby to put it on. However, doing so leads to horrifying results. In the present day, another site is tired of this mask and passes it off to Site 69 to continue testing. What is this mask? Someone has already been here…and has murdered all personnel. But, this is actually an SCP site. Housing a very large and inactive anomaly. The group explores the base, braving the hazards, trying to figure out who is behind this, and what this anomaly is. What happened to the people at this foundation site? Welcome to Botched: A D&D Podcast! Season 8, where 5th Edition D&D meets SCP! The Serpent’s Hand has given the Foundation a little bit of information. They have suggested forming some sort of an alliance with another cult. The Church of the Broken God. This cult is the exact opposite of Sarkicists, they believe flesh is a sin, and that they need to be remade in the image of Mechane, the mechanical god. The grand plan is to steal an unknown anomalous item from the church in secret, to then use later as a bargaining chip for working together. The church is not a trusting faction, so while it may seem like an odd plan, it’s not without merit. However, being technologically advanced, this MTF will have to go in without a lot of their normal tech that they have at their disposal. They have to get into the encampment and out without being caught. Not to mention, they then have to get that anomalous item across the desert on horseback. Will they manage to complete their mission successfully? Will everyone make it out alive? What else might be lurking in the desert between the church and safety?
