There is a part of our hearts that long for glory. Being recognized in some way, and often our brains, beauty, strength or accomplishment can provide some of this. But all of those things fade. The glory we were intended for is something far greater.

There are times in life that we need help or even rescue. When the Christ child was announced, He was announced as a Savior, a Rescuer. What does this mean for us today.

When we use the word hope, we can think of it as similar to a wish while blowing out the candles on a birthday cake. But the message of Christmas goes much deeper than that. One thing that can block our gratitude is the act of complaining. It is as common as breathing but robs us of the joy of giving gratitude to God. This Sunday, we will look at a way forward to point us more towards God and gratitude.

The season of Thanksgiving is about turkey, football and gratitude. The turkey and football are readily available, but what if you are having a hard time with gratitude?

As we move into our new vision of helping the Next Generation, we have invited Darrell Cook, one of the Student Ministers at Virginia Tech to come and share with us. Darrell has worked with students for over 20 years and brings a great deal of perspective to bear.

God’s good life comes with a built in mission that helps fuel the fire of living well. This Sunday, we will discuss this mission and how it can impact those around us.

If the Good Life comes not from the things that we change on the outside, but from the change that comes on the inside of us, how do we make that change? This is what the Kingdom of God is all about.

We have hearts that are designed for excellence and eternity. Yet, we cannot find these things in this world because of the brokenness here. But what if God wanted to provide another option? Another way of living that could meet these desires of our hearts. This Sunday we will discuss the Kingdom of God and how this can meet our desires.

There are two schools of learning about life. One is the school of hard knocks, the other the school of wisdom. One comes from drifting, the other from intentionality. The tuition at either will have a price, but one yields far greater fruit. This Sunday, we will see how this works in real life.

Many in our world today struggle with self-esteem. Yet, God says we are made in His image, that when we confess our faith in Christ, we actually become His children. That we carry a sense of dignity. How do we begin to walk in this dignity? This is what we will address this Sunday.

What does it mean to live well? Make a lot of money, accomplish a level of success, become a good parent? Our culture is ready to give us a ton of measuring sticks, but what does God our maker say? Come this Sunday, we will begin to examine how God designed us to live well.

This Sunday is our Fall Kickoff service, complete with a post service BBQ lunch. During the service, we will look at the next steps on our VISION 25 path. We will also unveil our Fall Calendar and fun ways to connect with our community and one another. And we will start our new series - “How to Live Well”.
