So grateful to have our 18 year old son, Javen on our podcast! Javen is Tiffany's second child from her first marriage and he is such an amazing addition to our family. He is our little entrepreneur and owns his own apparel company, "Enlighten Fits” and he just recently moved out to Fresno California with his girlfriend, Tatiana to sell solar door to door this summer. We are sad to see him go but so proud of him for taking these steps toward his independence. Javen opens up about some of his experiences being a child of divorce and talks about the first time he met Brad at 8 years old and the evolution of him becoming his step dad. Join us as we interview Brad's oldest child Abbie Clark about what it was like for her to grow up as a child of divorce and then eventually join our blended family. Abbie is 27 years old but Brad and her mom went through their divorce when she was only 12. Abbie relieves some of her most traumatic events of that divorce and gives her perspective. This divorce was compounded by the fact that Brad was excommunicated from their church and was going through a crisis of faith at the same time. Abbie expresses her confustion from her pre-teen perspective watching her dad stop believing in the same basic principles and values that he taught her for her entire life. This is a heartfelt episode full of healing and vulnerability. Got our little man on the podcast today! Bradly Reed Lancaster Junior is the youngest of 8! Brad had 4 from his previous marriage, Tiffany had 3 and then they had one together, Junior! Junior is 8 but he is very mature for his age since all of his siblings are either adults or teenagers, he seems to be much older than other kids his age. We forget how little he actually is sometimes. Junior is an amazing little boy. He practices Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, kickboxing and he likes playing football and his x-box. He is a little camera shy here but is only natural when we ask a little boy to have an adult conversation about growing up in a blended family. Asking him if he really understands what that all means! His answers are adorable and pure and we are grateful he came and gave us his perspective. He said he wants to be on our podcast again!
