The Huskies slim NCAA berth is still alive after a three=game series victory over the Western Michigan Broncos. Weldie and Andrew recap the games and preview the second-to-last Frozen Faceoff. It was a weekend to forget for both Husky squads as the men lose in semi-historic fashion by a combined score of 13-4 on the weekend. Weldie and Andrew break down where this ranks on the worst Senior Nights in SCSU history. The women’s season came to an end after not scoring, again, in Amsoil. Weldie and Andrew have different opinions on the goal that wasn’t. Despite the no-goal, the Huskies jump in the Pairwise and control their own destiny after a four-point weekend vs Western Michigan. As the men’s team has the bye, the women’s team scores the same number of goals and still manages to get two points on the weekend. As the Pairwise Probability Matrix gets unveiled, the men’s team helps its cause by sweeping the lowly Redhawks of Miami. The women’s team continues its losing streak following two losses to Minnesota. Weldie and Andrew break down both series and gives a look into how the rest of the season could shake out. Weldie realizes he’s been going through the stages of Husky Hockey Grief in a very self-healing episode. Andrew walks him through the series against Colorado College and they give takes on the same issues that keep plaguing the men’s team. Brett Larson has his third tough January in a row after only getting two points vs. Omaha. Weldie and Andrew try their best to make sense out of perplexing weekend of Husky hockey as the men continue to shoot themselves in the foot with a multitude of miscues. The swoon continues as the team scores six and still can’t get a win. Meanwhile, the women drop two competitive games vs the top team in the nation as Emma Gentry gets back in the goal column. It was a bump in the road for both the men and the women’s hockey teams at St. Cloud State as both squads didn’t get the points they were looking for. Weldie and Andrew talk about the Loss and Shootout Win over the Fighting Hawks and the women’s split vs St. Thomas. The gang recaps the underwhelming Friday games for both them men’s and the women’s St. Cloud State Hockey team. Both teams were able to scrap together some points.
