The name Harrison Butker is trending on social media at the moment. Why? Because the three-time Super Bowl champion NFL kicker who is also a Catholic dared to speak about Catholic teaching at a Catholic school to Catholic students. In the words of Greta Thunberg, "how dare you".

We live in a culture that emphasises personal identity against holistic health – ideology against biology – and we saw a screaming example of that last week when the media trumpeted a tragic case of a teenager who needed counselling and care, not castration and confusion.

The Government is bringing back charter schools, an education model scrapped by the Labour-led coalition in 2017. We speak to Alwyn Poole who, from 2013 - 2018, was involved in founding and running two successful Charter Schools after designing the model and the curriculum.

The pro drugs crowd are back. More than 150 'experts' have signed an open letter to the Government calling for the legalisation of ALL drugs. But most of the "experts" who signed their letter aren't the experts that you're thinking of. Some of them are even from America! (shock, horror!)

You would think that at this time, the Public Service Commission would be concerned about jobs being lost and redundancies and all that sort of important and urgent stuff. But nope – the focus is on counselling, safe spaces and indoctrination for incorrect use of personal pronouns.

A bill called the “Fair Access to Bathrooms Bill” has been introduced as a private members bill to Parliament by NZ First. It's pretty easy to understand, but the media and other opponents of the bill did everything they could to misrepresent it.

Oranga Tamariki has just signalled it’s ready to knock on family doors if they refuse to let their children change gender. A loving family who want to protect their child from confusion, chemicalisation and castration will warrant possible removal of the child from that loving family in the interests of radical gender theory.

Many parents are not aware that, while well-intentioned, Pink Shirt Day (coming up on May 17) is being used by activists to politicise gender theory and sexual identity of school children under the guise of anti-bullying programmes, rather than deal appropriately with the issue of school bullying which we’re all concerned about. Pink Shirt Days are predominantly and have always been about promoting an LGBT-narrative. Here's the proof.

The latest abortion statistics make grim and upsetting reading, with a 25% increase in abortions since the decriminalisation of abortion in March 2020 – four years ago. The focus on Maori being able to abort their babies – even late-term – is equally sickening.

Wade in June 2022 by a majority vote. He now says each state should follow “the will of the people” and pass state-specific laws on abortion. There is a landmark case that will determine whether sex or gender identity take precedence in law. Tickle v Giggle. Yes it sounds like a comedy – but its actually a very serious and significant case that could have ramifications for New Zealand as to how we define the word 'woman'.

Individually there are some fantastic, committed journalists with integrity. But as an industry it’s on its knees.

One of the problems with the whole push to allow children to try and change their sex through preferred pronouns, puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones, and ultimately castration of health body parts, is that because it’s a relatively new phenomenon, the trans activists have been able to make outlandish claims – and there really hasn’t been the evidence for us to push back. Those days are well and truly over. The research and the evidence continues to pour in, and there was a really significant study just last week - but the media didn't tell you about it. We will.
