3/28/2024
Davin brings an incredible wealth of experience to our show. With 33 years in law enforcement, including roles as a patrol officer, K9 handler, SWAT team member, and sergeant, Davin has seen it all. His dedication to serving his community led him to become the Lieutenant in charge of his department's homeless outreach unit and to coordinate the Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion program. However, Davin's journey hasn't been without its challenges. An on-duty injury led to addiction, a struggle he courageously overcame. Today, he serves as the Executive Director of Public Safety Engagement @ Higher Tech, where he utilizes advanced predictive analytics to enhance officer wellness, hiring practices, and leadership development in public safety. But Davin's impact extends beyond his professional role. As a public speaker, he advocates tirelessly for addiction, mental health, and wellness for first responders, drawing from his own experiences to inspire and educate others.

Street Life Live! October 5th, 2023

10/6/2023
We're excited to announce the return of Pastor David's Street Life Ministries podcast series- but this time, we will be doing them LIVE here on our Facebook page so you can join in and participate. These episodes are more than just conversations; they are windows into the lives and experiences of those in recovery, our dedicated volunteers, individuals facing homelessness, and influential members of our community. Our first episode of "Street Life Live" is Thursday, October 5th at 6:30PM to 7:00PM. Our wonderful first guests are Jeanne Smith and Jerome Madigan - they are the stars of our upcoming Amplify Hope fundraiser and both perform worship music at Street Church, as well as perform with their own bands, Jerome in The Whatevers, and Jeanne in Surrender. Jeanne has spoken about how ministering at SLM makes her feel like David playing the harp for King Saul so the evil spirit leaves Saul alone (1 Samuel 16:23), ushering in the Holy Spirit to do what only He can do. And we hope you'll join us in person at Amplify Hope! Join us at the Odd Fellows Lodge in Redwood City for a rocking good time with talented local bands! There will be delicious complimentary appetizers and drinks available for purchase provided by our friends at the local Ghostwood Beer Co. Every ticket purchased and every donation made will be used to provide life saving support for those on the streets. Doors open at 6 and the event starts at 7. https://t2m.io/slm-amp-hope
