The Search for Wisdom as Men w/Mahon McCann [Resonant Man Dialogues]

5/28/2024
Mahon McCann PhD, podcaster, fighting coach and creator of Wisdom dojo brigs his insights into the development of young men and the meaning crisis to the Resonant Man Dialogues series. We explore the deep need and search for role models as man. That moment in which you realise that you are fully responsible for your outcome and the balance of this with spirituality and finding a wisdom community and mentors to build together. We consider how mens groups can support men in their solitary purpose as well as breaking out of being 'islands' into a collective we. Matthew speaks to the power of being seen in having conquered our fears by other men as representing a key initiation. As well as this, the insufficiency of psychedelics alone for transformation relative to long term projects with accountability. Jacob lays out his metamodern vision in The Resonant Man initiative for the future of man. Responding to a polarised critique of men and forging a way through the a world where men and women mutually support one another in coming into embodied, spiritual and emotional maturity. Want to join a powerful group of men exploring this through practice and presence? Join Matthew Green and Jacob Kishere for the Resonant Man each Sunday starting June 9th. Where Did Church Go Wrong? w/Gaz Kishere

4/26/2024
An interview with my dad Gaz Kishere, a former minister who was involved in the church for 15 years and has since undergone a journey of deconstruction. Today he works professionally as a counsellor, helping others find continued journey and spiritual relationship beyond church. He’s worked for the last 8 years supporting counter-trafficking and refugee projects in Athens Greece, as well as counselling burnt-out humanitarian workers. We explore church’s relationship to rescuer culture and outreach. The 1990’s Toronto awakening. The relationship of the church to disruption and dynamic change. Church leadership as ‘always having an answer’. Church as creating a ‘safe space’ of arrival, rather than journey into unknowing. The unknown as the place where faith lives. Church as self-relating and concerned with perpetuating itself. Contact for Coaching and enquiries at gazkishere(at)gmail.com

Spiritual Warfare w/Ken Lowry & Jordan Bates

4/12/2024
What is spiritual warfare and how do we relate to the possibility of malevolent or parasitic energies/entities. What can we do to wage 'spiritual warfare' more effectively; how does spiritual community, cultivation of virtue and having a 'highest' support spiritual warfare. Experiences of spiritual warfare in the plant medicine space. Are dark entities separate or part of God? Distinctions between Christian & Hindu theology of evil. Can we be a vessel for the extension of divine grace to dark/fallen entities? Ken Lowry is an explorer and lover of the Good, the True and the Beautiful. The goal of his channel Climbing Mt Sophia is to share adventures in exploring the Mountain of Wisdom. Past/Future Education II: Tim Kubik & O.G Rose

4/6/2024
In part 2 we continue exploring: - The ADHD inducing structure of a school day and how it trains our attention away from long form reflection. -The lack of choicemaking given in education and how this affects our creativity as adults. -The impact of 'test and recite' style education on our capacity to really 'read' and it's deeper affect on a crisis of meaning. -How education shapes 'governable subjects' and employees for managerial roles. -Storytelling as ancient, fundamental and participatory form of education O.G. Ep.40 Cadell Last - Dying into Man: Ancestry, Sex & Religion

3/7/2024
A conversation worth waiting for with philosopher Cadell Last diving into themes he began developing in a published trialogue 'Sex, Masculinity and God' (2020). We wrestle with the confusion of contemporary landscape as men, delving into the disorientation of radical historical changes in life, sex, work and identity. We further the 'wrestling with christianity' conversation with Cadell's deep reading of the signficance of the cross for men around the initiatory dying into life. How can men’s death and resurrection resolve the culture war? What will christianity be in it’s 3rd millennium? What is the fundamental ‘negativity’ and dissolution at the heart of the feminine?

The Spirit of Climate Crisis: Brendan Kelly, Anne Keay & Matthew Green (Climate Dialogue III)

11/25/2023
'The Spirit of the Climate Crisis' is the 3rd in an ongoing SENSESPACE climate series getting to the heart of the climate crisis. I’m joined by Brendan Kelly, Anne Keay & Matthew Green to explore the ‘Yin and Yang’ of climate change, an ancient Chinese model offering a path for balance with nature. We also explore collective healing and what it means to 'hospice' modernity as a way of being rather than 'save' it. Anne draws upon her experience in conscious communities to articulate the necessity of a love & heart centred consciousness in navigating climate crisis. -- Brendan Kelly has 20 years full-time experience practicing acupuncture and herbal medicine and currently practices at Jade Mountain Wellness, the clinic he founded in Burlinton, VT USA. He lectures and teaches at colleges, universities and conferences in the US and Europe on a wide variety of topics including Chinese medicine, western herbal medicine and ecological issues. Atlas Shrugged: Dialogue w/Bethany Tabor & O.G Rose

10/17/2023
I recently read the Ayn Rand’s incredible magnum opus ‘Atlas Shrugged’ which inspired to organise a roundtable discussion. I joined Bethany Tabor in her reading group on the significance of the book and we were also joined by Daniel of O.G. Rose who was deeply struck by the text as a literary philosophy. First published in 1957, Atlas Shrugged is an unfolding story mixing mystery, romance and an exposition of the potential breakdown of American society. In our dialogue we explore how Atlas Shrugged offers a more important diagnosis of the slide into authoritarianism and decline than the more popular 1984. A work of fiction, Atlas Shrugged presents us a chillingly detailed map of how things fall apart and the breakdown in values and philosophy directly spreads through infrastructure. Bethany Tabor is a writer and public engagement specialist based in New Mexico. She is interested in cultural attitudes toward time, technology, innovation, and astrology. O.G. Rose is the pen name of philosopher and writer duo Daniel and Michelle Garner. Wrestling with Christianity III: Unlocking Verticality & A De-centralised Network of Scenes

9/9/2023
Continuing the series with Mahon McCann, Ken Lowry & O.G. Rose. We explore a christianity that 'goes beyond itself' and some of the dynamic tensions involved in integrating Christianity with many of us outsiders to the tradition. A unique consideration of how modern christianity 'bands off' the 'top' and 'bottom' of transcendental experience and deep suffering of collective trauma and holds us in a 'middle space'. How we might learn from Paul and early communities as a model of de-centralised scenes experimenting with different ecologies of practice in dialogue with one another. Michelle Garner pt.1 Following Truth

8/9/2023
First of a two part dialogue with Michelle Garner of O.G Rose. We explore truth as a moving spirit which we can be girded by. Michelle embodies a profound openness and willingness to enter the world's of others and she shares how being girded and rooted in truth affords this. We consider truth as redemptive and transformative to suffering.
