Welcome back to the ongoing series of the Randomatic Countdown! Paco and Jef take you through your favourite Monkees songs that make up the thirties! Paco & Jef are back to countdown 49-40 in the Randomatic Countdown and let me tell you: there are some rippers in this set! From thoughtful Nesmith tearjerkers to rowdy rockin' Davy songs this set really gives you a little bit of everything the Monkees have to offer! P&J also talk about their experience seeing Micky Dolenz on his recent Headquarters tour in Niagara Falls. With an episode so jam packed, how can you pass this one up?

This episode Paco and Jef bring us back to the final year of the Eighties when the Monkees were winding down their explosion in popularity in 1986. They talk about the Monkees appearance on the Pat Sajak Show and when they visited Nashville Now as well as give a live reaction to a video of Davy, Micky and Peter in concert in Birmingham England! There's a lot going on so hold on tight!

Hey hey! This week Paco & Jef continue the Randomatic Countdown and bring you numbers 69-50 and things are starting to heat up! With a little surprise from the Dolenz, Jones, Boyce and Hart album, a couple Christmas tunes, a song about Davy Jones asking how old your sister is and quite possibly the Monkees biggest hit, this episode is packed with fan favourites and classic tunes!

Paco and Jef continue up the Randomatic Countdown and things are starting to get good. We're done with the filler and painful, weird ballads and we're onto the songs that really get your heart skipping beats and your toes a-tappin! We start at number 89 and go all the way down to number 70 with some hidden gems, some hits and some songs that (we admit) should be much higher in the countdown...but isn't that always the way?

Well friends, we've come to the end. It's been quite a trip...we started with a Royal Flush and ended with a Frodis Caper. We've come a long way through these 58 episodes and 15 specials...we've dived (dove?) deep into the Monkees catalogue with the Randomatic Countdown Featuring The Woolhat Of Mystery...we've reacted to live shows and side albums and we even spoke to Mike Nesmith and Micky Dolenz! We've had a blast going through all of the episodes and the music with you...with everything that's been going on since we started in the fall of 2019 one great thing we could always look forward to was hanging out (virutally) and talking about the Monkees for all of you. Oh yes, the episode! This episode was written and directed by none other than Micky Dolenz and is a great tribute to the Monkees tropes that have come in a bunch of episodes throughout the series. It's a really fun episode and a fantastic swan song for the series we all love: The Monkees.

With a cold open with none other than Frank Zappa himself this episode hits the ground running and never stops! Peter gets put under a trance by Oraculo (Monte Landis' final appearance on the show) and the boys have to try to snap him out of it in time for a big audition - and hilarity ensues! It's also the final appearance of the Randomatic Countdown Featuring The Woolhat Of Mystery! With only three songs remaining in the hat what will the final entry into the ongoing list of Monkees tunes? Tune in and check it out!

We're back to the sixties and The Monkees are back to being a band for an entire episode! The boys try out for a Rockathon to win $500 but to be eligible they need to have a girl in the group...cut to Ms Jones joining the Monkees! But even while pretending to be a girl Davy somehow finds a way to fall in love with one of the members of their rival band The Westminstral Abbies! Will The Monkees finally get their long awaited payday by scheming into the contest? Will Davy's new love for the enemy derail them? Will there ever be all four Monkees in a cold open again? Welcome to New Podcast Valley Sunday! This week Paco & Jef take one last break from the Monkees series and jump ahead into the future to the 1987 short lived TV series: New Monkees! Stop rolling your eyes! P&J go through the first episode of the series "Weather The Storm", introduce you to the New Monkees (Larry, Dino, Jarod & Marty) and talk about how the series came to be and how it had to go. You may think that New Monkees was just a weird cash in on OG Monkees mid-80s success but the show really didn't get a chance to stretch it's legs or find the right audience or network (could it have been an early Fox favourite if it had landed there? Discuss!)

In this Peter Tork directed episode the boys find themselves in a familiar predicament when Davy must go back to England for the reading of a will and to save a village. Ripping pages out of many first season scripts, this episode has some classic moments and some great jokes. Paco and Jef walk you through this episode pointing out great set pieces (the Monkees beds look like old cars!) and some behind the scenes insight. As the series comes closer to an end so does the Rando-matic Countdown as two more songs are pulled from the Woolhat Of Mystery and added to the countdown!

The Monkees get fed up with their show and take off for Paris! While there they get chased by girls...drive a selection of tiny vehicles...romp around Paris...and that's pretty much it. But with four songs throughout the episode, a cameo from regular director James Frawley and Bob Rafelson writing and directing, this episode is a stand alone pseudo French New Wave romp that only the Monkees could pull off. Paco & Jef take a break from the Woolhat Of Mystery and add some Honorary Slip In's to the Randomatic Countdown!

This week the Monkees are mechanics who need to help a friend of Davy's grandfather win an auto race but end up getting a couple Nazi's mad at them because THEY want to win the race (who writes this stuff?!). Paco and Jef walk you through this (let's face it) mess of an episode that has a very loose feel but not in the good way the Monkees usually bring to the table. Within the zaniness there are a couple recurring gags and some great callbacks to the early episodes.
