In 1964 the murder of Kitty Genovese captivated the nation as 38 people admitted to witnessing at least part of the attack that ended her life, but no one came to help. The woman behind this case and at the center of this is beyond amazing and deserved more from the world.

In 2004, 13-year-old Amanda Lankey vanished from a sleepover at her best friends house. Her body was found in the forest miles away 2 weeks later. After years went by a woman came forward about her own experience she'd had as a teen at the house Amanda had been staying. Some answers have been uncovered while many more remain unanswered.

After the arrest of John Norman Collins was made for the murder of Karen Sue Beineman and suspect in the murders of Mary, Joan, Jane Mixer, Maralynn, Dawn, and Alice. The police in Michigan received a call from California. An unsolved murder of a young teen in Salinas, California seemed to match details to the Michigan murders. Roxie Anne Phillips had been taking a summer vacation that any 17-year-old would dream of when she met with foul play. A college student named John who was visiting the area from Michigan was believed to be involved.

In East Michigan in the late 60’s, young women began to go missing. Their bodies often found discarded off rural roads. Mary, Joan, Alice, and Karen were all college students in the area. Each with beautiful personalities unique to them. Maralynn and Dawn were young teens from two very different backgrounds whose futures were also cut short in this string of seemingly related murders.

Jane Louise Mixer was a law student at University of Michigan in the late 1960’s. She had recently engaged and accepted to law school with plans to move to New York. This Muskegon, MI native’s future was bright. Until her body was left in a rural cemetery with two gunshot wounds. One man was thought to be her killer for years before DNA linked an entirely different individual to her death. The DNA match created more questions than answers and the question still lingers to this day over what or who happened to Jane.
