Revelation 21:1-8 God promises to make all things new at the consummation of history, time, and creation. This includes all creation and even our bodies and souls giving us great hope, strength, and perseverance no matter our circumstances.

God commands us to exult (be elated and rapturously joyful in triumph from the deepest part of your soul). This text teaches us the reasons we have for exulting in the LORD, ultimately seeing that the LORD exults over us in Jesus Christ.

Christmas has become familiar and sentimental. However, the truth of that babe in the manger is shocking, causing a shift in our allegiances leading to celebration of God's joy in saving us.

Just as a Christian is defined as someone called by Jesus to Himself, the essence of that call is a transition: away from an old life of self-justification and comparison, and into a new life of being accepted by God's grace—made possible through Jesus living, dying, and rising in our place.
