How can companies manage greenwashing risks?

As the sustainability field evolves, the regulatory, operational and public relations risks associated with greenwashing have intensified; posing a more significant threat to companies and their stakeholders than ever before. In response, companies are continuing to raise the bar of sustainable business practices by expanding disclosures, increasing transparency, and ensuring the accuracy of their data collection and metrics reporting. In addition, issuers are leveraging second party opinion providers for an independent assessment of their Green, Social and Sustainability-linked financing frameworks; giving investors the security that the projects they fund are suitably sustainable.
