I am going to take you on a journey, we all encounter failures in life. When you go through failure, it’s all about how you deal with it. In this case I was working with a Shaman from Colombia, as he stood in front of my door I had zero participants for the retreat we were about to do. I would like to start with how this retreat came to existence. A good friend of mine was traveling in South America. I told him: when you see a Shaman that is very special, please invite him to come to The Netherlands. We will give people an experience that is different from what they have ever experienced before.

I am going to take you with me on the journey of how I learned to cook Ayahuasca, this is not something you can easily learn. If I would give you the recipe today, there is a big chance you are not going to be able to cook the Ayahuasca in the right way. The first time I drank Ayahuasca was in 2013, I taught; this is the secret to life. I see it as if the spirit of Ayahuasca is the spirit of Mother Earth. We all come from nature, we are a part of it. This beautiful medicine can help you remember that you are part of nature, as if this is Mother Earth helping you to remember you, to heal you, to support you and to give you insights.

Healing from sexual abuse. Many times this trauma comes from childhood and people tend to forget this because it hold so much emotions. Since I have seen this come up on a later age so many times in my ceremonies with Choco Bliss and Ayahuasca.

Rapéh (officially written as Rapé and pronounced as "ha-peh") is a plant medicine from the jungle, crafted by tribes in Brazil. It is made from the grandfather spirit mapacho. The creation of this plant medicine is a sacred and beautiful process, with the powder predominantly derived from tobacco. The grandfather has the quality to connect, also in a family: The grandfather is the place where everyone comes together, he is the meeting point. Also: in plant medicine, this spirit is connecting all the plant medicines. It has a memory that goes beyond, so all the prayers etc that you put into this medicine, it will stay in a memory. Today I wanted to talk to you about how plant medicine helped me in my spiritual awakening. Because waking up on this planet is not an easy journey, it’s a crazy journey.

We all get a second chance; every new day is a new opportunity. In this podcast, I want to talk to you about my recent experience in The Netherlands. Some personal events occurred in my life, and I would like to share three things that have profoundly changed my perspective.

For years guiding Ayahuasca Ceremonies has been my greatest passion. I can say I devoted my life to it. The last 2 years I even lived in my own Ayahuasca Retreat center.⁠ ⁠ Two or three weekends a month, 16 participants, often from all over the world, flew in to do an Ayahuasca Retreat with me for a few nights.⁠ ⁠ Looking back, it was an incredibly special time and we (my team and I) also realized that in the moment. Plant Medicine, natural healing and the pharmaceutical world are not always the best friends. When I started working with Ayahuasca, it opened up my eyes on how this works. At one point I had an undercover person in my Ayahuasca Ceremony. Since an Ayahuasca Ceremony is so intimate, this hurt me a lot. Not for me, more for my team and my participants. It brought a lot od stress and on a deeper level it brought unsafety. When this television program went undercover in my ceremony, I started ti see that this was funded by the pharmaceutical industry. Entering the World of Shamanism after I went the Shipibo tribe in Peru. After that the plant started to invite me to start leading ceremonies. What if the medicine is not working? What if you don’t always get what you want during Plant Medicine Ceremonies? It’s a great lesson to not get what you want, but get what you need. I went to Peru for an Ayahuasca journey. Looking back, I could never imagine the change that this journey to Peru brought. It was a closure of the old and a welcoming of the new. In this Podcast I share what I learned from the Shipibo Tribe in Peru and later I share more about the plant medicine Rapeh. This medicine is mainly made from the Holy Tobacco; Mapacho and carries the spirit of the Grandfather.

Working with Plant Medicine is not an easy journey. Maybe you would expect it to be only beauty. I can wake you up from this dream. It’s not. The journey of working with Ayahuasca is the most wonderful journey I can imagine, but it has been giving me a lot of challenges. How else can you/I be strong enough to stand tall for this mission?
