The Coach Rach Podcast
Sports & Recreation Podcasts
Although I am a female this is not a podcast dedicated to women in cricket. This is a podcast dedicated to share the stories of those who have worked hard in cricket and have made a difference in some way. The purpose of this podcast was to educate myself on all things cricket and learn from coaches, players and those within the sport. To me, it is more important to showcase those that are doing work behind the scenes and those who have played/coached at the highest level but don't get the recognition that the modern day players are getting now days. As a women who plays, coaches and works within the sport, it is only natural that I am passionate about women's cricket. So there is an element of that in the podcast. It is important to me to highlight that woman's cricket is not a "new" sport and in fact it has been played for over 100 years in Australia. So to highlight this in some of my interviews and to talk to and about the amazing females to play and coach the game is very important to me. This is a passion project for me where I aim to learn as much as I can about the sport and about the different journeys people have taken within cricket. I have had so much fun creating these episodes for you and I hope you get something out of them just like I have.
