Emulating an ancient isolated monk in a beehive hut in Lockdown he began creating a modern day Book of Kells.(Which will serve as a hardcopy should the internet go off.) A tongue in cheek exploration of Ireland's rich heritage of storytelling through the medium of .... storytelling. All that Folklord asks of you is access to your ears, your stories .... and your undying allegiance. This podcast is a bit of generally themed Medi-folk-craic. Follow an artist on a journey to create a modern day massive book of calligraphy, it's contents and stories collected online. Centred around the medieval, ancient Ireland, myth and legend. Examining subjects such as the symbolism contained within George RR.Martins Song Of Ice and Fire Books and the writings from which he has drawn inspiration. But also looking at Ireland's current folk revival and following a rich seem of underground performers. Folklord will give you an insight into Ireland's under appreciated undercurrent of performers and artists. These interests aside this art performance is an unfolding online library, but also an unfolding radio play, all may not be what it seems.
