Meet Marjorie Friday, artificial person and courier and follow her though a late Heinlein adventure of excerable sex and brunch with a lot of detail on brunch and a lot of awkward dialogue about sex and some other poorly defined stuff... Still, she's an interesting character. Check out my review of this 1982 Heinlein story.

While prepping the Team Shikaragaki volume I found a bit I cut out of Jobber back when I was getting it ready to submit to Demiurges and Demigods in Space and thought it was a fun bit to share. This is that.

After 14 months away, I am back with the next installment of the Heinlein Marathon and some updates on the other stuff I've been reading and writing.

I take a few minutes to update listeners on the state of the Heinlein marathon, reveal the next book to get the podcast treatment, and divert a bit to talk about giant monster movies and the recent release of Godzilla vs. Kong.

The Cat Who Walks Through Walls, published in 1985 is the second to last Heinlein novel. It's a rough read, and this podcast explores the roughness. I didn't like this book, but I don't think reading it was a bad idea and I enjoyed the experience. Like Heinlein? Or this book specifically? Let me know! This is my review of Starman Jones (1953) the second book in the Heinlein marathon. You'll notice that I had to edit in "max" in place of "sam" a few times because for some reason I couldn't keep those two character's names straight. Hope it isn't too distracting.

This is the first of what I hope will be a whole bunch of (less rambly) reviews of Robert Heinlein's novels as I reread them as a seasoned adult and not a starry eyed 20 year old. The first one here is Podkayne of Mars, which I loved something like 30 years ago. Do I like it as much now? How do I feel about Heinlein's prose today? You'll never know unless you listen. Also, announcement about the upcoming release of the Monadnock Underground release of Demiurges and Demigods in Space where my story Jobber will lead the pack. This episode contains the entire Clonepod production of The Saga of Tam Suji. I am including all of their work in this after my introduction so that the excellent production and hard work they put into it is not lost. This is one of my favorite of the Union Dues stories because of the tie to Mighty Joe Young and how Tam has his revelation that family isn't necessarily tied to who birthed you at just the right moment. It also has one of my favorite written lines. See if you can guess what it is.
